"THERE'S NO LEAVING, WE'RE ALL STUCK," the voice continues to scream. "AND NOW YOU'RE STUCK HERE TOO!" The torchlight goes out and you all can see in the dying embers of the flame the shadowy figure lengthen as though it had been curled up, arms and torso extending and becoming longer and lankier. He steps into the center of the hallway and throws his arms out and hits both sides of the hall's walls with the flat of his palms. As his palms hit the walls, every bit of the walls and ceilings begin to glow with bright blue markings. Looking around at them, you'll each notice that there are crude drawings of faces in random places and sets of tally marks covering the entire area. The glow covers everything and everyone in a tint of blue, and while you still can't see the figure well, Augur's light does throw enough glow on him to see the incredibly long limbs and torso. It looks almost like an insect with how long the appendages are.
"SHE'LL KNOW! SHE'LL KNOW!" he screams. "NO SAFE PASSAGE, YOU'LL ALL BE KILLED!" He turns and runs through the door behind him, purple chains glowing in the doorway briefly as he pushes the door open and they break as you've seen before and vanish from sight. From down the other way of the hallway, you hear more than one door open and seconds later, they slam shut.

"Flamin' devils!" curses the cleric and he pulls his hammer from his belt and raises it to the ready.

Folkmire, having steadied himself after his most recent evacuation, looks over the blue scrawl that covers the walls and shakes his head. "I was wondering how long until we met the dangerous inmates...". He clears his throat again, cracks his fingers and awaits whatever abominations will come lurching around the corner.

Welcome! I'm Garren and I'll be your designated villain for the evening.
The room continues to glow blue, the only sources of light are the glowing blue marks covering every surface except for the adventurers themselves. The sounds of the doors echoes into silence, and in the darkness, all you can hear is the footsteps coming from around the corner. Ulrik holds his shortbow in hand, arrow notched and drops his weight to steady his body. He doesn't move an inch from where he stands, his arrow pointed at the hallway where he assumes the fight will be coming from.
Ulrik's Actions
Delay turn until after The Enemy(s) show up in the halls that he can see.
Down the halls, you can hear the footsteps on the enemies, and soon you can see their outlines in the entrance to the middle of the halls. In the lower lights and jarring contrast of blues and blacks, it's tough to see any features clearly yet, but you can clearly see that they are quite short and rotund. You can't see any particular weapons, armor or gear on them, but they do look quite similar to each other.
"Sooooo hungry. Sooooo hungry."
"Think they're sweet? They sound tasty."

'Lets get this over with quick...'Finnean thinks to himself, now ready to move forward and attack since he's seen that the runes didnt appear to have an effect when Augur stepped forward. A lingering thought that they were more than just a light source tugged at the back of his mind though. The ranger makes quick steps down the hall and rushes at the first figure.

Finnean marches up to the enemies and takes a swing with Ward at the nearer of the two. Up close with the enemies, he can get a good look at them. About five feet tall, they are fairly short but they are nearly as wide around as they are tall, huge rolls of flesh hang off of each of them. Small eyes almost completely hidden by wide brows and small evil smiles filled with sharp teeth. Each of them have a pair of horns protruding from about the temples. The one closest to Finnean has horns that curve upwards and are about half a foot tall. The other's horns are straight back and pointing directly behind it, but they are closer to a full foot long. With a wide swing of his sword, Finnean buries Ward into the side of his target, a ripple flows over its entire body as it yells out in pain, the sound filling the small halls.
Ulrik runs up behind Finnean, his bow at the ready and fires into the other enemy, but he misses. "F---. What are these?" He reaches for another arrow and prepares it as well.
Ulrik's Actions
Move: W-5
Attack: 12 with his longbow at the enemy at V-9.
Miss.
"You'll die! I'll eat you!" screams out the one Finnean hit. He goes to throw a punch at Finnean, his right hand expanding into the size of a giant ham as he takes a swing, but Finnean deftly ducks his head out of the way and the wild swing throws the creature off balance. It falls to the floor and is now prone.
"You can't hurt my brother!" yells the other one as he steps up and takes a second swing at Finnean. Again, his hand becomes much larger and more imposing as he takes the swing, and this one connects good and hard, smacking Finnean hard in the stomach, and knocking him back. Finnean stays on his feet, but he is winded.

Folkmire moves cautiously along the corridor hoping to get a better view of their assailants. With the loathsome creatures now in sight he conjurers up a bolt of umbral darkness and directs it into the face of the uninjured foe.

Blinding Ray Standard Action, 30ft Ranged Touch Attack Target is Blinded for 1 round. If the target has 4 or more hit die it is Dazzled for 1 round instead.
