We need something to start discussion, so here's a question for everyone:

Why Mafia killed Zherog specifically, instead of another player?

Guessing it's a pretty simple reason based on what you're saying:

You were going to be covered by the doctor, they could roleblock you, and they took out a player who made actual insight during Day 2 (and since most of us were being stupid enough to need prods, it was a short list to go on). Sure there were others like Neo who were trying for conversation, but actual content was scarce. As far as more information for today, I really don't know who to start looking at until I go back and review, but that takes a decent bit of time.

Also, even though you didn't gain conclusive evidence, would (not saying to do so) exposing your intended target for last night help with the discussion? I mean, your instincts were right on for Night 1, so at least knowing your intended target may become helpful.

I will be doing my D3 re-read today (tomorrow?) and I'll see what I can find. I don't think it's a shock that Fel was blocked.
As to why they killed Zherog...not a clue...he wasn't all that active...maybe he was on to something...either way, looking closely at his posts will be a good idea as well.

He also just could've been a random kill because we're doing a good job of muddling our dialogue.

Im not 100% sure about this, so I will throw out my thought process for everyone else to mull over.

Fel was all over the place prior to cop claim. He could have been all over the place because he knew shock was mafia from his night action, and was trying to find a way to lead us there without outright stating that, and sucked at it.

Alternatively...

Prior to his cop claim I asked if any investigative roles had anything to bring to the table. He then copped up. This could be simply in response + his going away for a few days, or it could be seizing an opportunity. The opportunity to claim cop, throw the unpowered mafia role who was already pretty screwed into the line of fire, and shelter safely behind the protection this claim granted him. Following that he simply claims role blocked, as suggested by Zherog, and helplessly throws his arms up in the air in frustration. And for the cherry on top, they kill Zherog, one of the least active members and therefore not a lot of vocal suspicions to work with, and immediately asks the group to look for some ulterior motive for Zherogs death.

It could be a pretty clever plan to hide in plain sight, or I could simply be reading too much into his day 1 actions, and clumsy attempts to guide us to shock day 2 prior to his claim. Being so uncertain, its not something Im prepared to put a vote behind. But I've shared it, and maybe now people can desconstruct it and point out to me why it doesnt work, or at least not automatically give Fel a free pass.

One other guess is that the mafia are trying to kill who they think is the doc? It is a possibility.

As for fel's cop claim as Elijin pointed out, I do get the vibe that he is trying to lynch Shock on day 2 without revealing himself since C_K did make a point of how 'forced' his stance seemed to turn out of a sudden. One of the things that I picked up on game 1 here is that the cop will most often end up dead in order to validate his or her claims. However, that isn't the case here since fel doesn't have any cops reads on anyone else. So, Elijin's point is possible but consider that if fel is mafia claiming cop, there is a chance of a cop within town to counter-claim.

Since Elijin brought it up, how about letting fel tell us why he chose to claim yesterday anyway? From the looks of things, I believe a shock lynch was going to happen too?

Also I may be doing the math wrong here but if there a 9 people still in the game and 5 are mafia haven't we already lost? I mean the mafia can get majority vote on any lynching so we're pretty much screwed right?

Yeah, there's no way there were 6 mafia players when we started. If I had to guess, based on what I've seen, I would say there were 3 to start with, and 2 left. Now, there's always a chance there were 4 to start with, or even 2, I guess, but, based on the other game I've played, and the games I've looked at, I would say there were 3 to start with, and 2 left.

I've been getting killed at work, so, I've not had time to do my re-read (yet - I will this weekend) so, I don't know how much I can add. I see Elijin's thoughts on Fel - while I agree that he could be false claiming...I think it's unlikely. Of course, the only way to know for sure would be if we voted for him, and saw how he flipped (or if someone else makes a cop claim...).

Either way, for now, I'm still taking him at his word, as he was right with shock.

Basically, I think it's a scum move to try and discredit (even a bit) a claim that (to me at least) seems legit.

I can see your logic there, and I kind of anticipated what I said might not be the most popular, but my reasoning is that I feel you should be suspicious of everyone unless you have evidence beyond doubt of their innocence. Fel has taken a step in that direction, but at the moment there still exists the outside chance he's colluding. Basically I feel no one should ever be beyond suspicion short of first hand knowledge or absolute evidence.
