What an extremely close pick. They are both 3/3s for 5 "sign me up... not", with upsides. We actually have a couple inspired enablers, and I think in this set a 3/3 intimidate is better than a vanilla 5/5. And I assume we are almost never going to get a free lava axe. Can we argue for taking the 2nd warchanter for consistency? Sometimes having fewer different options in your deck makes future calculations either.

Screw the second warchanter. Let's go Marshmist Titan. We already know the table doesn't value the warchanter highly so we might get a second anyway. There's a chance we can smooth cast the titan quick anyway.

I think Titan is pretty bad. Warchanter.

The thing about the titan is that it's totally reasonable at 5 mana, meaning we'd only need 2 permanents of the black perusasion on the battlefield when we want to cast it. I don't think that's entirely unreasonable, and it has a very nice upside of coming down well ahead of curve. Whereas the warchanter is alright--helps devotion--but is behind curve at 5.

My problem with the Titan is that, as a 4/5, he's easily outclassed in this format, with Bestow running around. Warchanter at least can get a built-in form of evasion to push through some damage.

I don't get this kind of comment. Why can't the Titan wear a bestowed creature too? Than it should outclass the other bestowee. (I just made up that word :) )

The only time I have ever been happy playing it was when I drafted 2 Servant of Tymaret and a Agent of Fates.

Weight of the Underworld is my pick.

Weight of the Underworld

Claim is probably the best of its cycle, which isn't saying much.

I think there is a BW or maybe bu deck that wants to claim claim... But not us, weight is fine.
