What if different foods could be objectively ranked as better or worse than one another according to a scientific measure of tastiness?

It wouldn't work nearly as well as it did in the movies. Also even if it did work, I don't think it would find many buyers, I mean the potential for backfiring is pretty obvious.

What if sociologists developed perfect digital recreations of human society to test their hypotheses on?

Mankind existing would still be unexplainable as just a random number lottery and nothing else.

What if God came down and introduced himself, so that way you'd have to believe?

Then you need better villains. Time to start moving up in the world and find a nemesis that requires a martial arts tournament or high school romance scenario to defeat.

What if advertisements were more interesting than TV?

Then I would still wholeheartedly disapprove of the practice.

Then we could survive in outer space for a surprisingly long time. Like, a couple hours probably.

What if an invisible barrier kept people from entering or exiting Australia?

Then people wouldn't have to worry about asphyxiating when they're set on fire.

Then MTG would be catapulted to a new level of success. Fox pictures would then use this as leverage to meddle in MTG design so they can better integrate film and movie for maximum merchandising potential. Thus the card game will become a zombie husk chained to a successful movie franchise. Inevitably they'll release a movie that sucks and the franchise will topple like a house of cards. A gutted Magic: The Gathering: The Movie: The Card Game, will be unable to survive on it's own and we'll all switch over to playing Kaijudo in time for the Kaijudo movie to come out.

What if cat people and dog people could get along?

Then the combined cat/dog people would redirect their anger towards the exotic pet people, who would not be prepared for such an assault. Chaos and a bloodbath would follow.

What if things could be protected from thievery and fraud without having to be packaged in incredibly annoying plastics with sharp edges?
