Just wanna share this kickstarter with folks. I know one of the creators, Anthony, as an acquaintance though otherwise have no horse in the proverbial race. It looks like an interesting strategy game to me. The KS ends in about 34 hours, and (as of now) are only about 3/4 of the way to their primary goal. Check it out, and if it interests you pledging can help get this game funded.

Honestly, when I look for board games, I really look for co-op kind of stuff these days. While I like the design of the race and all that, it's really not much fun to spend your time beating / losing the same guys in a gamegroup all the time.

Quite an interesting concept, I've always liked games that allowed for the 'wrench in your plans' angle of both yourself and other players rather than simply just all players gunning for the end and seeing who got there first. Like Squinty mentioned above there is the worry of games getting representative within a game group, especially when its a small group like mine... unspoken packs tend to form and its not always fun when the same people are winning / losing so its nice to have a bit of 'for the common goal' games once in a while ... but with the extra board pieces and plenty of random factors in the game it looks like Zeppeldrome has several ways built in to try and keep the replay value high.

My "regular" group is my wife and kids. (which is why I don't play Cards Against Humanity, unfortunately - love that game!) As I said, they're just starting to figure out the competitive aspect of games. It was always working toward their specific individual goal and maybe passively affecting another player. We rotate games often enough that for us getting stuck in a rut with a specific game isn't much of an issue.

Stumbled across the Kickstarter (was sent a link, more correctly), liked the concept, and decided to share. It's not looking good for getting funded - there's 5 hours or so to go, and they still need a bit over $5000 to fund.
