No, you need a tattoo on your forehead to warn people to stay at least 50 ft away at all times, just in case you roll another natural 1 and cause an area of effect's worth of bodily harm to those physically close by to you.

DMing a solo game through the 4e Red Box to teach a new player how to D&D. She's playing two characters and I'm playing two characters just to keep things moving nicely.

Summary of turns of her rogue in one of the encounters:
1. Miss on a minion with an at-will.
2. Miss on the same minion an at-will.
3. Miss on the same minion an at-will.
4. Critical hit on the 'boss' mob with an encounter power while flanking and do max damage 2d4+4+2d8 (28) damage doing 3/4 of its life and killing it.
5. Miss on the same minion with an at-will.

Her paladin was having way better luck with both attacks and defenses, but the rogues luck was just hilarious. She's enjoying D&D and looks forward to learning more, so I really need to get some reliable people around here to play with.

Hey I know that room. Someone is playing through the 4e Red Box. Though I find it funny that you have painted minatures but not chess pieces haha.

Another solo game with my D&D newbie tonight, we should be able to finish up the Red Box and then I'll have to figure out what else we could play.

Keep on the Shadowfell is always an option, now that I've ran the first third of it three or four times I could probably spout it out rather quickly.

Tome of Horrors! I'm sure a newbie could solo that adventure. It's designed for new players right?

Yeah, but considering that she's pro enough to have played D&D three whole times now, I may have to add some monsters to the ToH encounters.

Haha, I remember that PA.

I wonder how that would actually work though... I've not messed with a WiiU before.

Scott Kurtz mentioned that he just did a D&D podcast a few days back, but doesnt seem to be an Acq Inc game. I wonder who all was in it.

Dear lord!

Rolls a stealth check to stiffle laughing past midnight:

Shockwave07 rolled 1d20 and got a total of 6:
6

(I laugh if it rolls a 1 or 20!)

The line about surprise was the best thing I've read in a while.

Okay so quick question; what is the opposite of a spontaneous caster? Is there a word for wizards and the like who have to prepare their spells ahead of time? I'm drawing a complete blank here. Thanks.

Also yes I know this is the 'Off-Topic Tavern' but I couldn't think of anywhere else to put this.
