Is there a calculator on the internet that I can plug a cocktail recipe into using the Parts measurement or whatever, input how much of said cocktail I want to make (like a gallon or two) and have it tell me how much of what in my recipe that I need to pour into said gallon jug?

I've been looking around for a while now and all I can find is tools for measuring your BAC or other useless calculations.

Is there some reason math and unit conversion won't work?

Knowledge knows no bounds.

And so people say to me, "How do I know if a word is real?" You know, anyone who's read a children's book knows that love makes things real. If you love a word, use it! That makes it real. Being in the dictionary is an artificial distinction; it doesn't make the word any more real than any other word. If you love a word, it becomes real.

You're probably doing more work looking for a calculator than you'd spend just doing the calculations.

Doing more work now may mean never having to do math again.

That's close, but it's not a fan of calculating milliliters.

I usually do this in my head and then resolve the situation with a 12-pack and a reminder to BYOB.

Maybe it's just because I always just estimate my drinks, but many cocktail recipes are in parts or at least you can find versions that are in parts rather than specific measurements, so that seems easily scalable.

Well, I'm trying to get the following recipe to fit in a 3L bottle:

1.5 parts gin
3/4 part St. Germain
1/2 part sake
pinch (1/16tsp) wasabi

Which will then be mixed with another 3-ish Liters of Sprite into a 2 gallon dispenser. Solve for X......

Isn't that...pretty straightforward?

1.5x + .75x + 0.5x = 3L

2.75x=3L

x = 1.09090909...L

So a part is a liter. How much wasabi to add is just a matter of multiplying by (3L / the volume of a normal serving).

For someone who is new to mixing things and isn't good at conversions, it's not easy. I got it though.

That recipe. Gross. Right? Or am I just not enough of an alcoholic to realize how tasty that has the potential to be? It looks like ew.

Let me know how it is, because I do enjoy my gin.

It's actually pretty good. The St. Germain actually masks most of the taste of everything else in a sweet Lychee flavor that Elderflower is reminiscent of and then you just a sharp after-burn of Wasabe. The Sake and the Gin are mostly just there as filler to up the alcohol content while lending a base for the flavor.
