It's almost 4 AM here right now, and I do get most of the mistakes. I'm just kind enough to not mention them :-P

Anyway, what's Griselbrand doing here to mess with my desire to grab the damn fixing?

Well you're a saint. Most of the mistakes happen because I'm using a spreadsheet, and all the packs are smushed together and I'm horrible at reading down a line.

I could explain how Griselbrand is down at pick 5, but after the draft is finished I'll just share the doc that has all the pick orders and starting packs and you can figure it out yourself :P

And this is actually one of those packs I'd love to debate the pick, because I think Messenger works better with Recurring Nightmare than GriselB. You don't know value until you can chain Thragtusk and Recurring Nightmare with any value dude (I did it with Cloudgoat Ranger)

Messanger is too black for draft.

Isn't Thraggy plus Nightmare like an overwhelming quantity of value all by themselves?

I mean, I know Messenger would be awesome in our deck (except for that terrible mana cost), and Griselbrand is a bomb that we would love to cheat into play (and grossly outclasses Terastodon in that role), but that Verdant Catacombs looks so shiny and beautiful and capable of fixing our mana...

I don't know, Griselbrand is probably the right pick, but man, I love lands.

Griselbrand

But almost any card from this pack is pickable. I love the Wake - that one enables our big critters without any graveyard shortcuts, and buffs up small dudes wearing Swords. And Messenger. And fixing. And Firespout. And Eternal Dragon - cycle it into the grave, reanimate, smash. But you can't say no to draw seven.

I don't see how we are ever casting Gristlebrand... and reanimating it costs us 7 cards! (assuming we can even manage to discard it).
I guess I could go through the cube list and see how many more reanimation spells we are likely to see.

I like Mirari's wake

Pack Rat: discard Grissybrandt. Recurring Nightmare: sac a Rat token and put ole Grizzly in play. This is, of course, wishful thinking, but sometimes it happens.

But this is a really heady pack, you could make a case for each of those picks.

Good enough for me! Switching my vote to Gristlebrand.

We have two spells that fix for us. Just keep that in mind.

Splicer.
