NOTE: This is not about fan made comics with the topic being mtg, this is about the official cannon mtg webcomics.

In case you have never seen them: http://www.wizards.com/Magic/Multiverse/planeswalkers.aspx?x=mtg/multiverse/webcomics/main

Are we ever gonna get any more of these? Why were they made in the first place? So much mystery.

I doubt it. It's been so long since the last one that I think they just stopped making them. They do provide some background for the Innistrad story though, and they're kinda a cliffsnotes version of the zendikar and scars storylines.

Initially they were made to sell Planeswalker cards. Some of the earliest ones did overlap with the Planeswalker novels, like the comic that has Chandra battling Jace over a dragon scroll. There's also the Dack Fayden comics, and the older ones can be found at really good prices through the secondary market.

Those were great. I miss those.

They were made to give us insight into the walkers.
The original two were Chandra's Ultimate and Garruk's tracking the Ursoth. Those were later integrated into larger portions.

Anyways, Doug has hinted that they might do more, but Brady told us that they were really cost inefficient.

This seems like the biggest issue with Vorthos!material, most of them are relatively expensive to make compared to what they get out of it.

It seems like the ebook thing is the best we can expect in the near future.
