Hot spit, Cato, that's a cool intro. Not the sort you typically see in pbp...well played.

Ruwin, just out of curiosity, are you not reading my posts or is Bron just that dense/unobservant? Just want to be sure.

Arcane Archer is so much nicer than I am. If Old Man Fish talked back like that I'd have told Lug to kill him just to force the fight and demonstration. I'd have called Lug off before anyone died, but still...

:D. Molesting PCs with Monk Ogres tends to defeat the purpose of getting players to run through your adventures. Besides, Jameson's as unflappable as they come.

If you knew the full story, you'd understand. But since I revealed Lug is a monk earlier in the game, it's not exactly privileged information in the OOC thread. No one's going to be taking him on anyway in this game.

And that is why Folkmire talks so little...

Which is a shame, Finnean is lonely and the only one that talks to him is his arrogant sword.
No one's going to be taking him on anyway in this game.
New plan guys...

Don't start something you can't finish :D ...(Lugs's got plenty of backside cover). I may be nice, but you shouldn't tug on Superman's cape. I mean, you CAN, and I've warned you, but i guess that's up to you...Lol

Oh, Tevish, don't worry about me punking your character with another spellsword. I assure you Jasmine was here at the Drunken Lemming long before this game started. In fact, all the NPCs in the Inn are about 12 years old as a group.

Oh wow, activity has spiked. I've fallen behind by like a whole page now! Yikes.

Working on catching up while cooking some dinner.

Nice to meet all you newer players and looking forward to playing with everyone.

Yeah, I can see how the past battle could put you into a lull, it was kind of slow. New guys seem to actually want to roleplay. I'm having a hard time working sheets because we're so active in the roleplay. You should jump in.

OK, so Cato has a complete character, pending any feedback and change requests he might have. But I'm ready to review Fel. Fish, and Bronhild's character sheets. I'll probably take Fel first since a barbarian will take no time to review, then move to Bronhild, since these two will possibly fight in an arena. I'll take Fish last.

The new players should introduce themselves and their characters here OC , just a quick summary, so we can get an idea of who is what and what their personalities are like. I'll even reintroduce Terek as well.

Everyone have a good weekend?

Had a great weekend! Went to a writing workshop and met/impressed some established authors, played a modern tournament of magic: the gathering, and am finishing another Jim Butcher book.

Fel's a big bearded viking. He likes brawling, drinking, laughing, surprises, and food. Basically, if there are good times to be had, he would like to have them. He's a redheaded barbarian basically: fiercely loyal, etc. Characters acting solely in their best interest will probably piss him off, unless it concerns things like a justifiable retreat. I'll tweak his personality a bit as I play him, but that's the canvas I'm using for now.

Hey guys, I just found this thread. So, some notes:
Archer: My intro wasn't a typical PbP intro because, well, this is my first PbP game, and I have no idea what a typical PbP intro looks like. I'm glad you liked it though. As for my character sheet, I haven't studied the rules or anything, so you're probably better at making characters than I am, and I'll defer to your better judgment. As for the trials which all the other characters appear to be doing, I'm not sure how a bard goes about proving himself, and it looks like you don't want me to, which puts me in an awkward position, because you guys all have stuff to do for the next in-game day, but I don't.

rstnme: sweet, how did ya do?

Well Old Man Fish is a Wu Jen - an oriental-themed wizard with an elemental attunement and a strict code of conduct and taboos which he must follow (kinda like a paladin without the in-built 'you fail' button). Personality wise he's pretty much what you see in the main thread; up-beat, talkative and good spirited. He's only really serious when it concerns the Art and his old mission. He'll get on well with just about anyone (as long as you ain't a wizard or sorcerer).

@Cato: For the most part spellcasters (including Bard and Wu Jen) don't really need to do much to prove themselves - just throw of a little something to prove your the class you say you are and your golden. On the other hand any schmuck can pick up a stick and call himself a fighter which is why they have to have this little test. Although yeah it does sort of leave us sitting on our thumbs.

Pretty terrible, actually. I made a horrible meta call, because I haven't played against any Tron or Twin in weeks, so I figured I'd be playing the pod and control variants I'd been facing, as well as more aggro/burn lists, than usual. So, of course, I played Tron match 1, put in my blood moons and got them out T2, knocked him down to 2, then proceeded to draw 6 lands in a row and watched him hardcast double wurmcoils. Then I beat burn. Then I played Twin and I just fold to that matchup too. Then I beat burn. Then I played pod, boarded in my hate, and proceeded to get hella mana screwed even after my opponent fails to play around double firespout... it was just a bad day. What went wrong went horribly wrong, and what went right I expected to go right anyway. Learned my lesson though.

Garren: wanna go out on the town with my character and see if we can find any sidequests to do while the hitting-stuff people are busy with their hitting of stuff?

I don't mind losing as long as I learn something. I think winning my second Modern tournament may have made me a tad too confident. And it was fun, so no loss there :)
