That's 98 matches. Per trophy.

Keep in mind they don't take very long, but you should do the first 2 trophies and get a feel of it you might like it.

I've played it before.

That's why I'm not sure.

I can see how factions might not be for everyone, I probably wouldn't have played as much as I have if it wasn't for the trophies, well the trophies got me started and then I just got good at it so I kept going.

So.

They should let Ellie have a gun.

Also, I am fully convinced that the collectibles semi ruin the experience. Some of them, such as diaries and notes, are worth the effort. But others like the firefly pendants are just semi filler that could have been something much better.

They also made some of them be given to you automatically. Without telling you or notifying you in any way.

Doing the four playthrough method. May or may not go for multiplayer trophies after I get the story golds though, and I'm not sure whether or not I'll actually bother to do more than 2 playthroughs. Game seems to be like the Uncharted series, where it's very hard to do it 3 or 4 times in a row if you go get all the other trophies the first two times through. Playing on Easy for the first two. 100% finished first 4 chapters.

For anyone who cares about trophies, Survivor is not the place to get them. You have to use new game + to get some trophies, new game plus can only be done on the same difficulty, and the reduced number of supplies and such makes it almost impossible to actually get enough to do some of them on survivor without a 3rd playthrough. While that is still 3-4 playthroughs, it's much much more time consuming than getting every other trophy in the game and then just running through survivor twice. Due to the higher difficulty.

as for me I did the comics on survivor, gonna get shiv doors, fully upgraded weapons and vitamins on survivor+, as far as the rest collectibles and conversations (unless I get these this playthrough) goes I will probably do a fourth playthrough on normal+. + mode is awesome btw, you get to keep your upgrade levels on both weapons and vitamins which makes it a lot more easier then the actual survivor difficulty.

First result on that page is what I am using.

For anyone who cares, collectibles only carry over on new game plus, trophywise. Which means you can't change difficulty while going for the all collectibles trophy.

Also for anyone who cares, the other reason you are supposed to get them out of the way immediately is the fact that a lot of collectibles require you to enter unnecessary combat situations that could otherwise be skipped. Many of these involve problematic situations involving clickers. This is more problematic on survivor. In addition, shivs can make stealth combat a ton easier, but you aren't able to use them like that on playthroughs where you are trying to go for the shiv doors.

Best way to deal with clickers is to avoid them, if that is not an option you can always use bricks or melee weapons

It is very hard to deal with multiple ones at a time, when you are engaging in 5 or 6 extra battles per chapter. Just as in any other part with 3 or 4 infected and no one but ellie around, they swarm your @#%. I'm not saying it's not doable, I'm saying its a very unnecessary headache on survivor.

you will notice when you play survivor that the ideal way is just sneaking past them in moments where there is a group of clickers, there is however a way to deal with them that I have been using which is bashing their heads in with a brick, this will cause sound so other clickers will be alerted, but you can sprint away and take cover and the clickers wont find you, molotovs is also a good way to handle groups of clickers, like in the subway waiting hall where there are a total of 5-6 clickers and 3 idle runners, I did this by sneaking up on the runners strangling them one by one, then as you approach the end where you get the ladder there will be one clicker that needs to be dealt with in order to get the ladder I smashed his face in with a brick then waited for the rest of the clickers to arrive and killed them all with the one molotov found on the bench just before entering the waiting hall. Shiv makes it easier but its far from necessary. Playing through all hitman games has given me some well worth experience with those kind of situations so I have already passed the "headache" state in those games :P

Currently 2/3's of the way through chapter 5 on first playthrough.

Not really motivated to play the game at all, and wondering if I am going to bother to finish first playthrough.

So decided today to finish off the first playthrough. So far at the beginning of the Sewers area in Chapter 6. Have found 44 artifacts, 14 firefly pendants, 5 training manuals, 5 comics, 2 toolkits, 4 joke conversations, 8 shiv doors, and 21 conversations.

On chapter 7 out of 9.

88 out of 141 collectibles so far and about 9 hours in.

I haven't missed any collectibles yet.
