I think I'll go ritual on this one. Makes our removal better, accelerates us somewhat... yeah.

Because it brings down the number of spells that actually do anything in our deck? It's not like we picked any high-cost bombs so far.

Actually, felbatista made a good point about the Heat Ray-that is the only good use we can hope to get out of it for now. Still, the pack is not offering anything better, so we may as well take the Ritual. I just hope we getter either good reasons to play it, or better cards so that it stays in board.

What it does is get you two turns ahead of your opponent, albeit temporarily.

I thought we wanted a headlong rush... (that's not a vote). I guess Looming shade isn't impressive...but a playable combat trick seems better than cycling 2... unless we are hedging against going blue?

We play crater early game and cycle late game--what's not to love? The other two blue cards are powerful in their own right. 3-mana 4/4s ain't shabby.
