Slam that Chromanticore dawg (no not really)

This pack is kinda boring. Stratus walk is the only okay blue card, and then we have two okay black cards.

My pick is Fellhide Brawler.

Well, there is nothing very good here, so it's time to speculate.

I am not sure Melitis Astronomer is terrible... and we do have another blue heroic guy.
epiphany stormseems pretty good in UR.. such as it is.
stratus walk for making flying cyclopes?

Heck, I am tempted to speculate on the chromanticore. It's early enough - we can grab blue card advantage and green fixing. I would rather shoot for the moon in a forum draft!

We have a heroic blue guy we don't really want to be targetting with spells. We don't need another with the Astronomer.
Epiphany Storm requires way too much mana investment for something relatively minor.

Stratus Walk cantrips, which is really nice, and gives evasion. Fellhide brawler is a Grizzly Bear in one of the stronger colors of the block. I think its between those two.

Stratus Walk

Cantrips are the bread and butter of a heroic deck.

hmm bolt and helix are both good and both in our colors, not that we're all that dedicated to red. I go with Retraction Helix.

Bolt of Keranos

Too bad we can't pick the Sudden Storm, too. It certainly shouldn't wheel.

Comes down to how much you like Oracle of bones. I kinda like it, so bolt of keranos.

I still think we're doing it wrong passing all those Helixes, but ok, let's grab that Bolt.

These helixes might be right... but I never saw one make a significant impact all weekend during the limited matches I played and watched.

The Helix is an unsommon that combos with both heroic and inspired. Deck specific to be sure, but our deck looks primed for a heroic theme.

Its only an unsummon and inspired synergy... if it resolves.

This format is trampled with easily accessibly removal.

Bolt is pretty great. Pick Bolt.

My only experience with the format is sealed. I never saw a counterspell get played and only had one in my pool so my perceptions may be skewed.

helix seems similar to aqueous form. It's will be REALLY useful sometimes and othertimes not so much. I would expect Helix to be better in draft because you can get inspired or heroic cards to go with it... in sealed it's pretty hard to get a critical density of anything. If you could put it on any permanent I think it would be great, but sometimes you need an unsummon and don't have a dude you can afford to tap!
