In! (As promised, not using my mod account. ;) )

Given the "no edit" rule, I'd like to ask a question: if I accidentally post from Fire instead of this account, is it acceptable for me to "edit" the post details to change my name? Alternately, I'm OK with Scarlet changing the author of the post instead. (Such an accident will only happen while making phone posts; at home, I open two different browsers.)

Oh, and this?

Quote:
If there is no majority consensus, the one with the most votes at the deadline will be lynched.
In case of a tie at this point, the last vote will be removed.

That makes an interesting twist from the first two games hosted here. But it does lead me to a question (blame my game developer mind):

So let's say we have two players tied; then we remove a vote - and since that vote was for somebody else, they're still tied. What then? Do votes keep falling away until it affects the outcome? Or is only one vote ever removed? And if the latter, is the result a dual lynch or no lynch?

And a related question, voting "no lynch" is a viable option if needed, yes?

I'll let the game mod provide his own answers, but in off site games usually mods will step in and fix the author of a post on request if posted under the wrong account. And of course no content is changed. I'd at least suggest that should be how we handle alt account slips here as well.

The other question I have no idea how the mod will handle the second one.

Sounds completely reasonable. And since the mod/host of the game is also a moderator of the site, sounds easy enough.

So, assuming it's OK with Scarlet, in order to avoid any hint of impropriety should I post under Fire instead of this account, I leave the post alone while cursing under my breath about my mistake; and when Scarlet sees it, he's welcome to switch it to this account.

Yeah sure, I'll change that.

And the assumption was correct. Votes will be removed until there is no longer a tie.

Can we get an OP update/start up status? Or should we assume this is already abandoned?

Good question. We should need just one more player at this point.

Sorry about that, I've literally been swamped with work. Wanted to do it yesterday and got called away again.

The post will be updated shortly after this post.

Im interested, but Im Australian, so my time zone tends to the complete opposite of everyone else posting. So dont know whether it will be feasible.

Well, I am Singaporean. Admittedly, having the day end when you are sleeping is a problem but shouldn't be too much of a problem me thinks.

I think that GobO_Scarlet is from mainland europe(maybe Germany?), so the day could easily end at a different hour compared to the last game.

You have experience with pllaying mafia face-to-face? So you aren't a complete newbie? Good.

My first games I jumped into even deeper games than this. Mafia is a game where you get experience while playing after all.
Second, it's best to NOT let the game go towards the deadline, but make up your mind before that.
Third, in the off-chance that you're mafia, you will be part of a team, so during night the team can talk about what to do.
Finally, in every deadline I will mention the time zone I'm using (probably GMT or GMT+1, depends if I will be in England for vacation during the course of this game).

I'll give this a go when I get back from work.

@Elijin - you should totally just jump in. The last one was my first time, and I know there are a few others who have not played before (or only have played a game or two).
