Yeah, I'd probably make it like or and drop it to two cards, since the opponent just isn't likely to be able to do much damage to you that early. But super cool idea. I'd nominate it for CotW if that was here.

When balancing it against Sign In Blood I can see why the selection of B instead of BB since many times losing 2 life would be better than your opponent controlling you. Maybe if you added a "You can't play spells this turn." or something to try to offset just drawing tons of cards, doing something powerful and then not caring if your opponent got to control you next turn, assuming they are still alive, which would be unlikely except in the most desperate of cases.

Tear out the Still-Beating Heart is also a very cool card. This is going to be very difficult to follow.

Umbilical Lich

Exile a spell you control: Return Umbilical Lich from your graveyard to the battlefield.
It was tethered to life and drawn back by magic.

Creatures you control get +1/+1 for each wax counter on Waxing Moon.
