Anyways... did I trigger Second Chance this encounter? I don't think I did... not that it would do much.
And unconscious people have last thoughts BEFORE they fall unconscious you know. Why else do you think he couldn't laugh at his own short joke?

The reason BH entertained the thought was because we were basically at a TPK anyways, so it was a flavorful way to end it. Aside from that, he wouldn't allow it. We actually discussed it over IMs for probably over half an hour before he even allowed that much just for the flavor on ending the game. Aside from that, he won't let me do it.

You didnt. But rather than wait another 48 hours just for you to use Second Chance when it obvious that you would choose to (especially since the game had just waited two days for you to delay, then two more days for you to not show up, then another day to make a turn) in the interest of keeping the game moving , I rolled another attack from the slinger which would have hit you as well. It was posted here in thread.

BH, how much cover do the trees grant for hiding / stealth? Would my character think he could lose the Slinger by taking cover and slowly moving?

You need superior cover to roll for Stealth; the trees only gave partial cover in the last encounter.

Partial cover, -2 to shoot into them but you can see threw them.

As you can recall, you shoot threw them several times even in the thickest parts, so the slinger can very much see you.
