Start by rolling 4d6 six times and remove the lowest number. These are your stats. I think bards need a decent charisma and dexterity, so assign your highest stats to those. You can join myth-weavers.com to create free character sheets.

Just the update on the input I need to finish off my character sheet

1) Whether Gloves of the Gatecrasher are a valid magic item.
2) Whether Wings of Flying are priced as printed in the 3.0 DMG or as Errata/SRD.

I'll be able to input finalized gear and derive stats from the same with those questions answered :)

@Cato: Yeah, bards are brilliantly versitile, though seldom the most powerful in any aspect. Rogues can also be really versitile if you take Use Magic Device, though we already have a pure rogue so I don't know what everyone's opinion on different build versus different class is. Clerics and Druids -- depends on how you build them. They're full spellcasters combined with most of a fighter, so they're a pretty good frame for having an out in any situation. You could multiclass too: It's not usually the best option, statistically speaking, but it's fun.

Yep, you are first on my list to finish. Will try to look at it tonight. You can enter the game IC now as I've seen enough of your character. The IC is awaiting BH.

I can draft a baseline bard up to the spells part with feat suggestions, and skills, and then we can adjust from here. That work for you?

Ok, so far, I have:
A rogue for BH
A spellsword for Tevish
A cleric for RuwinReborn, who I am officially just calling Ruwin.
A barbarian for rstnme
A possible wu jen for Garren
A bard for Cato
An NPC named Noot for Squinty...just go with us here, it should be funny. He won't actually be partying in melee with you guys.

If I got that wrong, just let me know...

Shoot, with that lineup, you can darn near hack/blast anything. Time to take the gloves off...bwahahahahaaaaa. Joking... <maybe> :D

The cleric is mine. I sent you a link to the sheet via PM, but I'm notorious for making forum software work incorrectly. I wouldn't be surprised to learn I had messed something up. T_T

EDIT: Yea, most everyone calls me Ruwin anyway. ;)

Yeah, with four posting at once, it will take a bit to work through stuff, but I saw the sheet. Thanks.

Garren_Windspear rolled 8d4 and got a total of 23:
4, 4, 3, 2, 2, 1, 4, 3

Garren_Windspear rolled 1d8 and got a total of 7:
7

27 hit points huh? Man I'm gonna be made of paper.

Memo to all Players: Throw yourselves in front of the Wu Jen that he may live! Your success may depend on it!

For those questioning my obviously failed math (23+7 =27?) ignore the last d4. Bloody ECL.

Are you 8th level wu jen and 1st level something else? If so, I count the right dice counts.

7th Level Wu Jen, 1st Level Shapeshifter - Hengeyokai have a +1 level adjustment so the EXP needed to reach level 9 for everyone else would stick me on level 8. I forgot to take that into account when rolling my dice.

Heh, you have to get worked into the group before anyone gets anything smashed.

Oh man I forgot how long it takes to fully stat-up and equip higher level characters in 3rd ed. I'll fill in the descriptions/personality and what tomorrow because I am tired and require sleep.

@ Tevish:
1. Wings are priced for 3.0, but that means we use the 3.0 text. Speak the command word, fly as of the spell. 5,500 gp. The 54,000 stated in the SRD was probably an increase because they either hosed the item in 3.0, or else felt it was too powerful and corrected by raising cost. They did the same with the Winged Boots, but not by a factor of ten! Instead, there, they lowered the time of use dramatically. So, we're going with the book I possess, and that gives you the benefit. You're welcome. :D
2. No heartburn on the Gloves of the Gatecrasher. The times per day is very modest, and the pricing is fine. 4,320 is the currently gen'd price, right, for you making it?

Also, have questions on your skills and spells. Please see items 11 and 12 in the overall review of your character sheet (back on page 7 at the bottom) and clarify when you have a chance.

I have finished your sheet, and I know you know how to add gp prices, so given today's answers, finish her up on items. The character is good as it is once you clarify 11 and 12. You are able to participate IC (in case you didn't already see that.) Sorry it took a while. The delay was mostly just waiting to find out if we still had a game or not.

11.I have a generation of the following skill points: 20 (1st lvl ftr) + 5 (2nd lvl ftr) + 20 (wiz lvls 1-4) + 15 (spl swrd lvls 1-3) for a grand total of 60 points, but you have only allocated 52. Without me having to go back in, did you increase your INT along the way with stat increases? That would explain a difference in skills. I'm not a big fan of calculating skills myself, especially with synergy bonuses, unless I actually step up the character level by level as I go. Figuring it out now with 9 levels gives me a headache. If you could clarify on the difference between your number and my number, that will really be appreciated.
12.Your spells seem off. By my count, you are permitted 4/3/2 spells by level (ignoring the cantrips), as a 5th lvl caster, with your bonus spells figured in. That means you are 1 spell too many prepared at 1st level, 2nd level and 3rd level. Also, what is the (T) designating in the block, please?

11: Int increased from 15 (+2) to 16 (+3) at level 4. I had to buy point by point for the whole build, and the int-bump isn't the only aberration, so here's the itemization:

Level 1 (Fighter): (2+2)x4=16 Skill points. Purchased 4 ranks in each Knowledge (Arcana), Knowledge (History), Craft (Blacksmith), and Swim.
Level 2 (Wizard): 4 Skill Points. Spent on Knowledge (Arcana), Craft (Blacksmith), Spellcraft, and Speak Language (Draconic)
Level 3 (Wizard): 4 Skill Points. Spent on Knowledge (Arcana), Craft (Blacksmith) and Spellcraft (x2)
Level 4 (Fighter): Int Bonus +1. 5 Skill Points. Spent on Knowledge (Arcana), Knowledge (History), Craft (Blacksmith), and Swim (x2)
Level 5 (Wizard): 5 Skill Points. Spent on Knowledge (Arcana), Craft (Blacksmith), Spellcraft, and Concentration (x2)
Level 6 (Wizard): 5 Skill Points. Spent on Knowledge (Arcana), Craft (Blacksmith), Spellcraft, and Concentration (x2)
Level 7 (Spellsword): 5 Skill Points. Spent on Knowledge (Arcana), Knowledge (History), Spellcraft, Concentration, and Craft (Blacksmith) [Cross-Class]
Level 8 (Spellsword): 5 Skill Points. Spent on Knowledge (Arcana), Knowledge (History), Spellcraft, Concentration, and Craft (Blacksmith) [Cross-Class]
Level 9 (Spellsword): 5 Skill Points. Spent on Knowledge (Arcana), Knowledge (History), Spellcraft, and Concentration (x2)

Myth-Weavers doesn't show that Craft became cross-class for Spellsword levels, so even taking into account the int bump, it will be 1 skill point "short" since two were sunk to get a rank there. Unless I misunderstood how multiclassing and class skills work, in which case I should have an extra rank of Craft (Blacksmith).

12: (T) indicates that the spell prepared is the bonus prepared spell from being a specialist wizard (In my case, a Transmutation) as per PHB page 54, School Specialization sidebar, first paragraph, second to last sentence. This accounts for both the odd markings and the extra spell over 4/3/2 from class, level, and intelligence.

Updated character sheet with the finalized items, rules text for homebrew items, and fluff descriptions of the new items. I also changed one of my prepared spells (Traded Blur for Tasha's Hideous Laughter)

@ Leana (Tevish)...I get the differences now. Thanks. You're done.

I can put you in the game from the local Spellsword enclave, which is where you are right now. Only so many people can light the Drunken Lemming's bar on fire in one adventure! Or, since BH has not been responding to the in game prompts yet, you could just be enterprising and walk up to the ship dock check point to engage one of the crew. The news has gone around the port quickly of the fight just out of port. Someone like you may have been in the right place and decided this was just your kind of thing.

Your choice. If you want to wait for me to drag BH up into the city, fine, else just post you approaching the checkpoint, which is a small podium with a lamp where a Moon Elf is standing watch.
