I don't think I'd use this as an advertising campaign for the Grixis Tourism Promotion Authority, but then I suspect I'm not their target demographic.

Easy thumbs-up from me. Bad guy stories aren't generally my cup of tea, but the writing is excellent and the atmosphere is palpable.

I think this is my favorite of the Ultimatum stories. From the slow reveal to the characterizations to the setting up the pictured scene, this is just excellent.

Yeah for me.

Bolas has quite a shadow when

I found myself thinking "Okay, I get it, just get on with it" early on. I think that first section leans a little hard in the purple direction. However, it is a very nice piece; the whole buildup to the card-scene is very well crafted. I'll say Yea.
