Admittedly, I'm just jealous from all the roleplaying I'm reading. I haven't RPed with more than 2 players in about 10 years.

Well, until I hear from my guys, I can't say for sure.

But just so you have a chance to draw me in, in addition to running my game, which 4e adventure is this, and what are your roles covered already? I'd be leaning toward a striker, maybe the ranger.

This is the Tomb of Horrors game... we have a sorcerer (is that a striker? I forget), a defender warden, a controller avenger, and a leader cleric. The DM is stressing survivability--fragile characters will surely die. But we could use someone with thievery/stealth, so ranger sounds perfect!

Well, even if I died, that's ok since this would be to shake out the 4e system for the first time. Shoot, I'll put together a ranged-build Ranger and see what this pig can do! Hopefully my guys are still on board, but this can give me something to do in between adjudicating my adventure.

I'm half decent with rangers, let me know if you need any tips on building one. Or check out my (half finished) ranger guide in Char Op. lol

So, I was gonna go with Human, and our DM gives us a bonus level 1 feat. So, I need several feats:

Level 1
Bonus - Human
Bonus (1) - Fighter
DM Gift
Bonus (2) - Fighter
Level 3

Any suggestions? I was thinking about some of these:

Dodge
Weapon Focus
Cleave
Power Attack
Exotic Weapon Proficiency

1) Combat Reflexes
H) Power Attack
D) Cleave
F1) Weapon Focus (Weapon)
F2) Combat Expertise
3)

The DM gift one is throwing me off... I dont know what else to pick up that you dont have that you can pick up before level four. *thinks*

At level four pick up Weapon Specialization

Happy 40th birthday D&D!

http://games.yahoo.com/blogs/plugged-in/happy-40th-birthday-dungeons-dragons-214544046.html

I've been playing D&D since "Elf" was a class, starting with a pyromaniac priest that I carried over into second edition and who eventually died in a blazing inferno, destroying an entire city in the process. From there, I played a fallen noble turned Rogue, was sucked into the realm of Ravenclaw, and fought through the entire campaign to come out as a malformed survivor, returned to the dregs of his former city 100 years in the future, only to find it had burned to the ground.

After that, I began a multi-DM campaign, and my character was a savage, barbarian halfling forced to be a minion for a lich with god-like powers, working as an indentured servant until he abandoned my character on a distant realm, outside the walls of a bustling port city called Talcar. There, he worked for years, contracting and surviving lycanthropy, leading the city in a war against a horde of goblins, and becoming the first halfling noble the city had ever seen.

It's been good times. Just wanted to reminisce. Happy birthday D&D!

R2D2 was the most obscene character in any movie ever. Everything he said was bleeped out.

So, we have sandboxes, modules and mafia games running already in a few different systems, what should we try for next? I'd love to see a more casual game getting run, but people didn't seem enthusiastic for Shotguns & Zombies. Any suggestions?

The four of us players are mercenaries, but our leader has been out on a mission for several months, and we couldn't take work in his absence. Eventually, money and rations got very short in supply, and as fate would have it, a halfling by the name of Flint popped up offering us a job protecting a caravan from thieves. We took on the job, but one day in the mountains froze us out so we were stuck in at the tavern in the woods. While drinking, the group is approached again, this time to slay a dragon and some goblins (mind you, we're level 1). We've headed out once it was light, and are currently fighting eleven goblins, some are minions, and others are archers. Everyone is becoming quite injured, and it's looking a bit grim since rstnme won't stop rolling hits all f---ing day.
