That is a poor excuse not to follow it. Bionicle is always cool no matter your age. I remeber that it was a little overpriced though, but that's standard for Lego.

*Hides his Legos.*

Um, yeah, I gave that kids' stuff up long ago. Of course I did.

I still have legos somewhere.

At the time I had an anti-kiddie thing going on. I have since abandoned that.

I have all my legos still. I ran out of time to play with them, what with college and all, and ran out of space in my room for them, since I needed room for big honking drawing pads and canvases. But they're still all in the basement waiting for my triumphant return to rebuild my lego empire o_o

People don't get rid of legos. I've noticed that.

You know who gets rid of Lego?

My mum, that's who...

She "lend" my boxes to someone and I haven't seen them back. And due to reasons I can't exactly go get them back.

But by now, I've got roughly the same amount as I used to have as a kid. And my desk is filled with minifigs and I even have a Lego Calendar.

I made a lego two-tiered chess board once. Probably still have it somewhere, actually.

Lego car.

Legos are ridiculously expensive. However, there is a school here in town that offers Lego Engineering classes to Kindergartners and up. Hella enrolling Holly.

Argument invalidated.

I retract my defense (but keep my conclusion).

Is anyone here getting offended on the behalf of the Pacific peoples a Maori? A Samoan? A Hawaiian? If not, don't you think they should have some bloody say in what is and is not considered taboo in their own native languages? Doesn't the fact that they themselves use "atoa" as a word for things other than the Maori gods make you think that maybe that you're making some unfounded assumptions about their cultures?

One of the best parts of living in Orlando was the Lego Store at Downtown Disney, and their lego sculptures all over the place.

Staying on topic and not talking about legos? WHAT.

ANYWAY: From the opening statement they released at the starting of the thread, it seemed to imply that someone complained. Wether it was new zealand natives or not, I don't know.

Who's stoked about the Lego movie?

I'm a little bit disappointed that it's apparently not actually stop motion.

I'm relatively excited about it, but I highly doubt I'll be going to any movie theater before April.* It looks like it's not going to take itself the least bit seriously.

I'm kind of two minds of the "actual stop motion" thing. By the looks of the trailers, they're not going to be bending things in the wrong direction, and it looks like it's going to be in relatively the same style as Robot Chicken, so

*Family coming to visit in April, so I might either willingly accompany or be dragged along to some movies while they're here.

I'm a little stoked. I've been a big LEGO fan since childhood. Stop-motion or no, I don't really mind. I've even seen some of the CGI direct-to-video movies LEGO has made. Though the biggest reason I had for watching the "Clutch Powers" one was because Yvonne Strahovski was in it.

When I heard about it I thought it was the stupidest thing ever. The trailer has me intrigued though.
Final verdict: I will not see this in theaters. Since when do I go to theateres? Heck I don't even watch movies at home. It looks good though.

I'm looking forward to it.
But then again, I see movies for free so...

Speaking of Yvonne Strahovski, she's in I, Frankenstein. Which was a little freaky considering I didn't recognize her voice, but instead recognized her because Miranda Lawson was modeled on her.

Barin: Did you realize that the films I, Frankenstein and I, Robot become Yo, Frankenstein and Yo, Robot respectively when translated into Spanish?!

I do want to see the film. It can't be worse than WWD!

Yeah, frankly, I'll always see Yvonne as Miranda, no matter what else she does. Same with Brandon Keener. I heard a McDonalds radio ad he was in, and I'll I could see in my head was Garrus shilling for Big Macs.

It pretty much goes the same for Mark Meer and Jennifer Hale, though in fairness, Jennifer gets work a LOT more than Mark, so...
I would say something similar to the effects concerning Grunt and Steve Blum, but Steve is in WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY too much for that to be true.
