So I got the game at my birthday late november and played through the story pretty quick. The game is awesome and I was planning on doing 2-3 more playthroughs although I went and bought CoD: Ghost and a couple of other games on my PS3 so I never got around to replay it, so yesterday I decided to play some because I recently bought the season pass and wanted to know what I had gotten from it, so I did some reading and noticed it was all for the multiplayer witch I hadn't yet tried so I put in a couple of matches and WOW. I must say this is probably the best game I have played this whole year.

Anyways I'd like to know if there is anyone here that wants to friend up and put in some games since I will probably play a lot from now on leaving my other games in the shadow for a while. (Don't worry I'll be able to put in some DotP 4ffa games aswell)

If you get the chance though I'd recommend you try it out (even if it is only once), its the best game I have played in a good while.

I heard the story is great and the pacing is very well done and that it deserves awards, but yeah. Like Fenix, I don't own a PS3 to play it, so I probably never will get to experience it for myself.

Really is a shame they made it PS3 exclusive, even though it doesn't affect me but this is a game that could have been a blockbuster if it had been released on other systems I think.

I bought it off my buddy around the time GTA 5 came out, got to Pittsburgh last time I played about 3 weeks ago and haven't had any motivation to play it more.

Good game, just not what I'm interested in and haven't had motivation to play any games lately

So, is it basically like The Walking Dead's game? An interactive story?

metalhead you should try the multiplayer its pretty cool, the story ain't very long or maybe it was just me playing it intensively but I finished it pretty quick but it has replay value so I don't mind it really, I've just been sold on the multiplayer lately so haven't gotten around to it yet.

squinty: I haven't played the walking dead so I wouldn't know, but to sum it up you are playing this guy Joel and you are supposed to deliver this girl that holds the key to the cure from the disease that's struck upon humanity and you run into different factions so its not only zombie-slaying, the story always stays the same but you can approach it in different ways so it makes for a lot of options as you're progressing. You can also find a lot of things in the game that helps you on your way like upgrading your weapons and **** like that, craft bombs, Molotov cocktails and things like that. I'm usually skipping through cinematics but this story caught me it has some great twists in it.

I tend to take forever to finish games anyways because I have a hard time wanting to sit down and play a game for a few hours so I'll usually just play for a bit here and a bit there.

my buddy said it took him around 12-15 hours to beat the game and that wasn't even looking for everything

yea that sounds about right to what time it took me, should also add that I played on normal so a higher difficulty would probably take up more time, aswell as searching for everything optional.

Played the game, and my main criticisms are:

Trophy List is one of the worst I've seen in a long time.

The enemy ai is dreadfully stupid. The difficulty of the game comes from things that can kill you quickly and ammo scarcity, not the ai programming.

The "awesome story"...... it's not so awesome to me. Every character except for the girl is a complete scumbag, and the story is full of a lot of stereotypes.

The trophy list only has 19 trophies on it. When 51 is possible. That list is also extremely bland. It is literally 100% completion of each category with nothing interesting thrown in. There isn't a trophy that makes you go out of your way to do something interesting, and there are zero trophies for doing anything other than 100 percenting something. In other words, extremely lazy with nothing to keep you interested. Unless you enjoy 100 percenting a collectathon. There isn't even the standard "50%" trophies there to keep you interested. A normal playthrough of the game will get you 1 trophy. For 12-15 hours of gameplay. I know trophies aren't a big deal to a lot of people, but I would at least like to have earned a trophy other than "beat game on Normal" after 14 hours.

The combat ai was good. The plain old just walking around ai was good. But the stealth ai.....
The enemy ai when you are in stealth just freaking sucks. There were tons of places where they didn't respond to things like dead bodies of their friends, the friendly ai walking by at point blank range, freaking loud noises I made, etc. And it was not uncommon for my character to be in plain view and have the enemy just walk by because they would have had to turn their head sideways, AND NOTHING ELSE, to see me. If I'm in a side room, within a meter of the main corridor, in plain view of the main corridor, I expect the guy walking in the main corridor to detect the dude just a couple feet away from him. In plain sight.

trophies are for those who 100%, there are plenty of in-game challenges that work the way you like but imo to earn a platinum trophy you should 100% the game, I'm completely fine with that. And a normal playthrough will give you at the very least 1 trophy if you are playing at baby-difficulty, otherwise you will get at least 2, my first playthrough gave me 3 and I didn't even check the trophy list until after my first completion.

There is a difference between needing to 100% something for the platinum and needing to 100% all of a category for every single trophy. Most people literally only get 2 or 3 trophies out of 19 without using the internet or sinking a TON of time into the game. That is a substandard trophy list at best.

Well I can't see the point in collecting trophies if you ain't pushing for platinum. But maybe that's just me.

Might try and finish it soon

I was away this weekend but I think I'm gonna play it for a few hours after work tomorrow.

Too bad I'm busy almost all week or I'd play it all week
