I will give Dune a try when I have a chance, dunno when tho.
I mean, I saw the whole first season of HOD and that was utterly garbage.

Those two shows are in a different universe of quality. HOD isn't great (although I like it a lot more than you apparently do), but it still feels like a show where money was spent to make it.

hmmm, well I take back the crack about new material, and stick with poor casting, acting, and writing. lol

I've never read the books to determine if this is a poor adaptation, or if the books are just bad (which is very possible after the original Dune).

Based on what I've heard the responses to Brain and Kevin's writing goes from "it's okay" to "please stop"

_

In other news Trump confirmed that he would declare national emergency, and use the military to carry out mass deportations. Also his newest pick for FCC Brendan Carr, wrote the project 2025 section on the FCC.

Jeez that sounds like REALLY REALLY BAD, like dystopic bad...

I don't think Anderson's writing is that bad...but I haven't read his star wars stuff so I dunno :V

Saw Godzilla minus one, probably the best Godzilla movie I have seen, still its like an 8 tho.

Also I have access to Apple platform now, and I'm watching this pretty damn good Alfonso Cuaron mini series, "Disclaimer" thats the best thing I have watched in along time. Casting is amazing.

Godzilla minus 1 was great. Prob the most transparent analogy to the bombs of all the Godzilla flicks I’ve seen but I really enjoyed it

Well that had to have been an intense night for NORAD Russia launched an ICBM during an attack on Ukraine

Kristen who?

Edit: He is the lowest actor in the show. This series feels like old HBO.

With the new youtube links you have to only use the part before the "?si=..."

So in your case the T_YFQq0hw4s section. Put that between the youtube brackets

In my defence the site says and I quote "Enter the video ID (the part after "V=" in the video URL) and I did that before with no issues, now it changed... anyways thanks Sixty!

I think they changed it like 5 or more years ago, but I do remember a time when it worked another way. :P

Well it turns out it wasn't an ICBM but instead a hypersonic medium-range ballistic missile with a MIRV (Multiple Independently-targetable Reentry Vehicle) payload and the US was notified by Russia via the Nuclear Risk Reduction Center which is part of the hot line between the US and Russia that would be used for when/if the **** hits the fan.

Normally the MIRV on a land based missile would be a violation of a treaty (same as the missile itself I think),but those have gone the way of the dodo bird currently.

Still getting through Mad Men, just watched some episode, Far Away Places, that was pretty gut wrenching. Amazing series on the range of emotions it gives.

Made me think of Grave of the Fireflies and I realize I’m still not over that. I don’t think I could ever recommend that amazing movie to anyone cuz I would know I’d be knowingly prescribing pain to them

You guys ever apply with a European company before? I'm trying to get this job based in LA with a company out of Amsterdam and they want a Motivation Letter in addition to my resume. I wrote the best damn motivation letter ever. Is this a Euro thing or is this just something new for all applications?

Cover letters are typically optional but highly recommended for serious jobs in reputable companies. It’s a big sign of engagement and motivation from the candidate

For instance, I’m hiring right now. I have about 110-120 applicants for the position. I haven’t gone through them yet but anyone that puts a cover letter talking about my firm, the position and why they want to work here in that position is going to get noticed

That's pretty much what I did. Mentioned the company by name 4 times. Referenced something that was in their About Us video and another thing off their website. Used verbiage similar to what they use when talking about their company but kept the language to things that would realistically come out of my mouth.

I qualify as a producer now, everything in all of these job descriptions is/are things I've done so I'm applying for Production Technician, Ops Producer, Production Lead, Producer of Broadcast Ops ect ect. All of them are asking for 5+ years of experience and I have 21

In all honesty I probably should have been doing this 3-4 years ago when I interviewed for my dream position and they told me they didn't want to move me laterally because they were afraid I'd leave after a couple of years. Should have just left then.

Sounds like you nailed the cover letter

If you make thé interview, you’re gonna have to address being overqualified for the role and why you’re not a flight risk
