18 is my You-Did-Good average tip now-a-days. You get 20 for doing something extra. 22% for being amazing. 15% if you were totally swamped but did good while not ignoring us.

This is all assuming food is good.

However; it drops off rather quickly. 10% if I feel we didn't get the attention we deserve based on the crowd size. 7-5% if service was bad only cuz I'm assuming she's sharing tips with the kitchen which did good but had nothing to do with service. Flat 2.5% if food and service suck.

This was for a drink or two only and she was like ice cold the entire time

P.s.: what’s the loot at your house this evening? The wife and I are out of town on vacation, so nothing for the kiddos from our end this year.

We went with full sized candy bars for the first 30 kids. Expect leftovers. We usually don’t get that many kids coming around (which is strange cause we have a friend who lives ~1/2 mile away and her street has non stop kids at the door every year) so we decided to splurge and get a pack of full sized Hershey bars, KitKats, and pb cups.

This year tho parks and rec did a big Halloween party in the park at the end of my street and it drew in more than normal. Ran out of full sized bars ~an hour ago and it’s small sized candies now. Assorted gummy candy and choco bars. I wasn’t sure if wife would have time to get the full sized bars so I had bought an assorted bag over the weekend while running errands. Good thing I did or my pourch light would be off
