I never saw it on the news but I saw it on Daily Show.

Btw the news coverage wasn’t on how he was eating the pizza. He was on the campaign trail eight years ago and they were covering him stopping by a NYC eatery and he was eating a pizza during the visit

That region (NE North America) would immediately have a record scratch moment.

So for me, it wasn’t unfair or biased coverage. It was just an aspect that clearly showed he’s very removed from society. In fact I find that to be far more egregious than admiring loyalty (not actions) of German generals. I don’t even see that as being bad. Lots of people value loyalty, even blind loyalty.

Of course, I admire those officers that plotted to kill Hitler far more lol. Those guys are absolute heroes.

Plenty of leaders have had loyal generals. Invoking Hitler's general's loyalty, specifically, is both unnecessary and telling.

He's either completely uneducated, or he meant what I think he meant with that kind of a statement.

If he's educated at all, he should be admiring Caesar's generals instead. (just for example)

tbf to eating pizza with a knife and fork, that could also be related to teeth issues. But also, most Europeans eat pizza that way. It's not even weird. I've seen Europeans eat sandwiches with knives and forks too, and that's just really strange.

on yeah, it's not weird at all for a random human being to eat pizza with knife and fork. My mom does that, my sister does that.

I'd argue that most things at a bbq restaurant require utensils (maybe even the chicken, but definitely brisket, sausage, extras, etc.). BUT, I totally respect sixty's position, because based on what he just said he's probably a) a ribs person, and b) a corn on the cob person. Respect!

As for what Timh said about Trump. You're not wrong man. I'd push back on some of that (or at least the importance), but I'll leave it at I mostly agree, and that's good enough. You can certainly find some positive things about Trump - they don't outweigh the negatives, but they definitely exist. I mean take the point you made about the vaccine - yeah he got it ready in record(?) time, but he's also probably responsible for the number of people who no longer believe in vaccines.

I can't stand the man, but as the guy who's usually pushing back - here - on the liberal message and belief system I totally get where you're coming from when it comes to polarization of society.

I still don't understand how people don't see him as a potential existential threat to the US. There's no way Harris is an existential threat to the US - worst case scenario she'll do some damage to the economy, and promote some stupid societal ideas, and in four years we'll move on. And to be clear, I'm on the same page as Trump supporters when it comes down to listing her deficiencies. I agree with most of what they say about her - excluding the racist ****, which is not - in my experience - particularly common, other than the DEI take (which is probably close enough to true).

Please explained this position of "Trump got the vaccine out in record time." Are we saying this simply because he was president of the USA at the time? Or are there some levers that he pulled that caused it to actually arrive earlier than what the medical companies could have done by themselves?
