the issue i think with targeting kod and rag i think is if e.g. i was sane and you were insane, and we both got a red check, we couldn't tell which was which.

I'm not discounting the possibility that the Traitor has the ability to mess with our results on one of the nights, as that has been the case in every Dethy Numbers ever ran as far as I can remember, but I will remind y'all that Numbers has explicitly told us to NOT call this Dethy a "Rumble", and I at least have taken that as meaning this is a more traditional Dethy setup than the Christmas Rumbles he has run in the past. Although, that last bit is conjecture on my part. Still, there is no mention of the traitor having such an ability in the OP.

Let's assume for a second our results aren't to be trusted because of shenanigans.

Either:
A) the ability is to invert everyone's results,
OR
B) the ability is something other than that.

If we assume A, then that means Amber is still cleared, because Amber's result is different from everyone else's, meaning Amber is the only possible candidate for the Paranoid (or Naive, if inverted results) cop.

If we assume B, then who knows what's going on. Even Amber is not cleared in this possible timeline. It could be one person's results were tampered with, while the rest were left alone, and there should've been two red checks but we're missing one.

It's really too far down the Wifom/outguess the Mod left field for me to conjecture more than that about the possibility of B.

I think that in the absence of evidence of tampered results, we should proceed (albeit cautiously) with the assumption that the results are accurate.

The one thing I will say that leads me to believe tampered results are on the table is that both Rag and KoD were the first two players to submit their results to the thread. In a traditional Dethy setup, it is far more likely that a scum player would hold off until more information was on the board before they reveal their (faked) "results". If we assume no tampering, that means that the scum Rag/KoD threw caution to the wind and bluffed their result very early with little information on the board...

I believe Numbers has straight-up told us that this is traditional Dethy. He defines "Rumble", for those that don't know, as "Dethy, with a Twist". And he explicitly tells us that this is NOT a Rumble. Ergo, no twist.

It's Halloween Dethy (not Christmas Dethy). Trick or Treat. The Trick (and the Treat) is that this time there is no twist.

I'm probably going to believe this theory until I see evidence to the contrary.

Given we've established there is probably a twist, I'm going to say Lain is now Sus for being BOTH:

A) the last person to come forward with faer results,
AND
B) coming forward with a result that would, in a traditional setup, seem to clear 3 out of 5 people (with Lain among them).

Not a smoking gun by any stretch of the imagination, but definitely Sus with a capital S.

I haven't played a game with a setup like this before so idrk what the twist would be like. So... I think I'm going to vote as if there wasn't a twist tonight and hopefully we will be able to figure out what it is when things start not adding up.

it's probably prudent to get more information before speculating on whatever the trick is, it's just worth keeping in mind that there is likely something to look out for even if we don't know what exactly it is at the moment.

Above him, scrawled in what could only be assumed to be Shaggy's own blood, were the words "No Goblins Allowed".

No more words came. Tears began to flow down Daphne and Velma's faces as Fred unpinned the body and laid his friend on the ground, taking off the mask and covering Shaggy's face with his ascot. Scooby could only whimper helplessly at Shaggy's side, nuzzling his lifeless hand with his snout.

Well, I investigated Amber last night and got "is a threat to Mystery Inc."

Unless my results were tampered with last night, then I cannot be the Sane cop.

If I am insane, that makes KoD look super sus.
