Pagers and radios? What kind of 3rd world technology is this

Even Chile doesn’t use radios or pagers anymore

There are constant rolling blackouts in Lebanon so having a pager that can live 2 months or so on a full charge is a big deal.

Israel can easily hack into Lebanon's cell phone network and use any cell on the network as a listening device so terrorist organizations like Hezbollah don't use cell phones.

Walkie Talkies and Pagers exist on networks and bandwidths seperate from cell phones and are much more reliable in a country like Lebanon.

Most hospitals around the world, even in the USA, use pagers as a reliable way of communicating with doctors and lead nurses because they are more reliable.

Every hospital I know of in North America uses phones (because they are more reliable lol)

With law enforcement agencies in North America, the presence of a pager is often a red flag because of the prominent use of them by criminals in order to avoid cell

My Mac gets delivered today, so what does my PC do but start running weird. It's overworking itself and the fans are running crazy to keep it cool doing even the simplest of tasks like deleting a file, which it couldn't handle, being stuck at 0% after 3 minutes.

Looks like it might be a driver update problem. PC says all Windows Updates are good. Then I find a list of "Optional Upgrades" one being from AMD, Inc. Only the CPU.... purely optional. After reset it says it's installing a System Update which doesn't seem like a system update should have been in the optional update catagory.

**** like this makes me glad I'm moving to an Apple for my work. Everyone I know says they handle updates a TON better than PCs. This has wasted 2 hours of my day. If I was working on a project that would suck.

LOL it's not over yet. Now several apps I have are "not compatible with my currently installed AMD graphics driver

I only use a PC when I’m doing serious statistics. My main is a Mac, and has been for over a decade. Macs are so much better, it’s not even up for discussion. Seriously, you’re going to wonder why you ever used anything else, other than for gaming.

Well that was a day of equipment setup. Mac does not always do what I want it to but I'm getting there. I also got my Speed Editor console so I have an awesome dial to spin now, and the Studio version.


After 3 hours of working on the PC it works well, except it still doesn't delete MP4 files

I ran Divinci Resolve's self diagnostic and it said this Mac Book Pro will edit anything except 8K at 240Hz.

Fear my mediocre model building skills! It's a 1/35 M1126 Stryker ICV from Trumpeter. The paint scheme was inspired by the Stryker (honey badger) from Call of Duty: modern warfare 2 (2009). It went together great, any missing bits are on me due to hand issues.

The new mac chips are just on a different level, when it comes to video editing software, I hate editing in small screens tho, I built my PC to be a perfect match for my camera, so I have this very well oiled work flow, if I uograde I would go for a mac pro, but those are expensive and I would not be getting more than 30% out of the processing capacity.

Looking forward for those vids.

When I get back home I will recomend a couple plugin ins that are super useful.

I have it hooked up to a 4K TV so the screen size doesn't matter. I had to cut some corners to get the M3 Max chip set, 60 cores (14 on a neural engine) and 36gb ram.

I bought it from Apples Refurb store (it still has AppleCare+), went with the 14" model (45" TV) and only got 1TB hard drive (which I can buy external HDs later).

I already have a 3 button mouse so I just got a little $10 adapter and it's perfect.

I honestly feel somewhat bad for her. I think those movies, money made notwithstanding, really hurt her career. I don't think it was really possible for her to impress or demonstrate acting chops with that script. But as a result of those movies I think she got a reputation as a bad actress, and I don't think that reputation is likely to be repaired; she simply isn't getting the opportunities she'd need to prove anything. I mean, she landed Madame Web but that's yet another terrible movie, which is, again, not really her fault.

That’s fair but I think you are making a bad actress a victim without acknowledging their lack of talent. No one in the industry got a worse hand dealt to them than Leo DiCaprio. He became super type cast. Wasn’t getting the roles he felt he wanted or deserved. But he’s a decent enough actor, and did better and better. Even in mediocre roles . Ultimately it landed him bigger and bigger opportunities which he killed

She’s just not a good actress. If she was good, we’d be seeing it.

I think she’s insanely beautiful and it’s crazy she hasn’t been success especially when she was younger. But she’s just no good.

I’d argue Kristen Stewart is similar. They’re not getting killer stuff cuz they aren’t killer talented

Look at Sadie Sink. She’s young and adorable and showed real chops and range so she’s getting into Oscar nominated movies. That’s amazing and she deserves it. Hope it keeps up
