The problem with Trump is that his supporters like it when he's unhinged.

The other problem with Trump is that that accusation is basically blood libel in some dumbass form. This is so typical of Trump: it's like he's read the idiot's guide to totalitarian fascism, but didn't really get it completely, so he makes the kinds of mistakes only an idiot could make (by saying slightly the wrong thing... clearly a proper fascist would accuse immigrants of eating children, not pets). This means he makes a lot of dangerous sounding comments, but they are always the I-didn't-really-understand-the-tutorial versions of those comments.

yeah, his supporters are irrelevant anyway. They won't be deterred. It's the moderates that we're after and of interest. If Harris comes across as more presidential and Trump comes across as dangerous and clueless (like Biden) then the moderates and undecideds (who decide elections) will sway Harris. Those are the ones that need to be convinced and won over. Going after trump supporters is a massive waste of time, money and energy

right out of the gates, Trump lost me in the SECOND minute of the debate when he said millions of immigrants are coming right out of mental institutions and attacking buildings in Aurora, CO and Springfield, OH. It's absolute lunacy and insulting to even listen to. i'm hoping moderates and undecideds feel the same.

Anyway, I didn't watch, I just saw the recaps. It seems pretty clear Harris won, given all of the complaining the Republicans were doing today and yesterday. That's good enough for me. I'm still mostly just glad we have an option for President that doesn't have a foot in the grave.

That and I'm fully in favor of people having "concepts of a plan."

i'm a moderate/democrat. I would never support Trump but I could support a Republican one day if the environment/situation/candidates/parties were in the right place (no pun intended). I think there are millions of voters like me (and I hope they are, party allegiances should not be blood oaths ever).
