To be fair, this isn't really to KoD's detriment. More everybody else's. Yesterday could have gone differently.
Um, most definitely. I think it is good that the kingdom is about about to be under new management. Good luck finding out what civilian life is all about Queenie. Unless.....KoD has something else special in mind.....

Nope. Nothing special. Tevish is right.
Time to retire from royalty, Queenie. Your besttea goes first though.

Day 8 ends without a Lynch. It is now Night 8.
Will replace this with some fancy post tomorrow morning.
The land of Dominaria stood quiet. Those who remained were sullenly accepting their fates. All hope was lost...
From her castle the Queen pleaded with her friend, the Tea Merchant, to leave this doomed land while there was still time, but the Tea Merchant steadfastly refused.
"I'm with you 'till the bitter end," she said, and the two embraced one final time.
It is now Night 8.
During Night 8, Neon Abigail was killed and her soul was consumed by the Lich. She was the Town-Aligned Tea Merchant.
Meanwhile, ExLight was revived as a Zombie. Welcome back, Ex.

The sun still rose on the barren land of Dominaria. The Lich King might have sucked all life there was left to suck out of this place, but still, the sun shone on, itself seemingly immune to KoD's great evil.
As Queenie looked upon her desolate landscape, she gasped to see her friend, the Tea Merchant, lay dead and on display, undoubtedly just for her.
"You monster..." She whispered to herself.
As if on command, the Lich King of Dominaria then did appear, with his undead army that seemed to grow larger with each passing day.
"It's over, my sweet waifu," the monster said. "I have taken everything from you but your life. Now, I have come to take even that. Its been a fun game, but the pieces are done being played with. Better luck to you next time. For now, it's checkmate."
"Just make it quick. I can't bear to listen to more of your gloating," retorted the Queen, defiant to the end.
"As you wish," KoD replied.
And then, in what could only be described as the one act of mercy the monstrous tyrant had ever done in life or death, KoD consumed the soul of his beloved wife.
The Queen is DEAD!
GAME OVER; KoD WINS!
Flawless Victory...
The WINNERS: Tevish Szat, KingofDominaria, Ragnarokio, OGSniper, ExLight
The LOSERS: L41N, Paranoid King, SteveThePirate, Rubik, Mint Elv, shadow amber, Neon Abigail, Queenie
i was trying to goad KoD into soulcrushing me b/c i was hoping it would end up freeing me from his control instead of killing me, but it didn't happen and eventually it seemed like the game was inevitably going towards a necromancy win so i decided to stick with it
at one point ex mentioned the possible presence of a necromancer and i replied saying that if there was a necromancer pursuing them would be the best course of action, which is probably the closest i got to helping town. that post seemed to have been mostly ignored though, and i didn't feel comfortable bringing it up without prompting so i didn't say much after that.

Honestly I was terrified through the midgame. We had to get a cop dead because it was known to be coming in on me, I got arrested by OGS, and even though OGS died the block from that arrest stopped me from raising him which I thought would be a red flag. It honestly felt like, at any moment, I was going to go down. And I don't know how critical that was, all I really knew was my own role to resurrect the dead and that I was mod-confirmed to be coaligned with KoD

Well, that was something, wasn't it?
Y'all are probably wondering "What the hell even happened?!"
Well, KoD and his faction (the never-revealed Necromancy-Aligned death cult) achieved a flawless victory, so it's only natural that you are left with more questions than answers. Even standard mafia games (which this wasn't) in which the scum team achieves a flawless victory often leave the rest of the players wondering what they could've done differently.
This game was a tad complicated.
Tevish was essentially a full-blown Death Cult Leader (revives dead players onto his team). KoD was essentially an unkillable Serial Killer aligned with him who would die if he ever failed to kill someone even just once on any given Night.
There were so many protective roles in this game that at one point literally HALF the players had access to a doctor/bulletproof type ability at the same time. Yet, despite this, KoD was never prevented once until Rubik's death, where it was revealed that No Lynch Days made his kills unblockable. That piece of knowledge was what you were in theory missing most of the game to be able to mount a successful defense against him.
I guess I should give out some MVPs... Here goes.
Town/Crown MVP: shadow amber - for being the only player to NOTICE there was an unusual amount of protective roles in a game this small. Amber noticed this and pointed it out as early as Night 2, but despite catching on to this BIG CLUE, nobody other than her really picked up on it. Sorry, Amber. You were this close to solving the logic puzzle.
Runner up: OGSniper, for arresting Tevish. If only Tevish had been Lynched, it would've upgraded you from a rookie Knight to a full-blown one.
Necromancy MVP: Tevish Szat - For playing such a strong game that even when there was LITERALLY NO ONE ELSE BUT YOU who could've been KoD's secret accomplice, the remaining living players still didn't think you were Sus enough to Lynch. Well done.

Necromancy

The King is Dead; Long live the Queen!
KoD Lives Again! All Traitors Must Die!!
You are the old King of Dominaria. Once upon a time you ruled over the land of Dominaria with an iron fist as its one, true ruler—but that was then, and this is now. Now you're a rotting corpse. But thanks to some help from your loyal Necromancer, you have been raised from the dead to reclaim your throne as the immortal Lich King of Dominaria.
You are Necromancy-Aligned, and you win the game when all traitors to the old Crown have been killed.
So who counts as a traitor to the old Crown? The Queen tops the list, of course, but she's not alone. Anyone who was sympathetic to the Rebel cause or who aided them in some way to bring about your downfall also has earned their place on the list. And of course, your waifu's new fiancé has to die. Plus, anybody else who openly or secretly opposes your god-given right to reclaim your throne. Or heck, just anybody who celebrates this sham of a wedding too proudly. Or who stands in your way when you're trying to get someplace. Or who looks at you funny. That's a lot of people. You know what? Better just kill the lot of them and raise them all as Zombies. After all, none of them did anything to stop the Rebels from killing you, so they are all complicit in some way. Plus, Zombies make much more loyal subjects anyway; they don't plot rebel uprisings!
Like before, you are Bulletproof and Lynchproof, which means you cannot be killed or lynched under normal circumstances (but given what happened last game, you should know by now to be wary of the abnormal), and you still have your super move, Wall of Text, which works exactly the same as before. Whenever you post a massive rant of at least 500 words (non-quoted) in the game thread, and identify exactly one other player by name, whose name you bold in the post, the player in question becomes buried beneath your Wall of Text until you use the ability again. A player so buried is effectively Roleblocked, and cannot make use of their activated abilities. There is no limit to how many times you can do this, but only one player may be under the effects of it at a time.
However, being a Lich also comes with a critical drawback—you must Consume Souls to fuel your new immortal form. This ability is mandatory. Each Night after the first you are required to target two other players, one of whom must be Necromancy-Aligned (your backup option). The non-Necromancy player is killed and their soul is consumed (they cannot be revived anymore, even by necromancy). If the non-Necromancy player somehow survives your attack, you are forced to consume the soul of the Necromancy player instead (this also permanently kills them). If you fail to consume the soul of anyone on any Night besides the first, you wither away and die. Game over, man.
As the immortal Lich King, starting on Day 2 you may post in the game thread at any time, Day or Night. It's not like anyone is powerful enough to stop you.
You do not get a vote in the Lynch decision-making process, but if a player has not been Lynched by a clear majority (half the living players, plus one) by the end of a Day, then on the following Night your Consume Souls attack cannot be prevented by any ability in the game.
You may chat with the Necromancer at any time in your secret lair (Discord channel). The Necromancer is also Mod-confirmed to be Necromancy-Aligned, and they share your win-condition (no tricks like last time where you had the same alignment as Queenie but not the same win condition). The Necromancer has the power to raise the dead into Necromancy-Aligned Zombies, as long as their souls are still intact (they can't raise anyone whose souls were consumed by you). You're basically a full-on Serial-Killer Death Cult. Have fun with that.
The game has begun. Time to make those traitors pay. Long live the immortal Lich King of Dominaria!!
You are the Necromancer. In a land filled with seditious traitors who cheered when the King of Dominaria was killed, you remained loyal to the one true King. You spent the past four years learning the dark arts, and now that there is talk of a new King of Dominaria being crowned the time is right for you to put them to practice and raise the dead; raise the old King as an immortal Lich and unleash him to restore order to this broken land.
You are Necromancy-Aligned, and you win the game when all traitors to the old Crown have been killed.
So who counts as a traitor to the old Crown? The Queen tops the list, of course, but she's not alone. Anyone who was sympathetic to the Rebel cause or who aided them in some way to bring about the true King's downfall also has earned their place on the list. And of course, this "new king" has to die. But don't you worry too much about who else is on the list. Trust in the Lich King. He knows exactly who all the traitors to his crown are and will guide you.
As the Necromancer, you have an important role in the true King's return to power: you get to create new loyal servants to the cause. Each Night after the first you can choose one dead player whose soul hasn't been consumed by the Lich King to resurrect as a Necromancy-Aligned Zombie. That's right, you're a freaking full-blown Death-Cult.
You may post in the game thread at any time during the Day. As a citizen of Dominaria, you also get a vote in the Lynch decision-making process, when applicable.
You may chat with the immortal Lich King of Dominaria, KingofDominaria, at any time in your secret lair (Discord channel). He is also Mod-confirmed to be Necromancy-Aligned and shares your win-condition. The Lich King of Dominaria knows the full list of traitors who need to die, and each Night he will likely kill one of them by consuming their souls to fuel his immortal Lichdom. Players killed by the Lich King cannot be raised from the dead.
The game has begun. Time to make those traitors pay. Long live the immortal Lich King of Dominaria!!
You are a Zombie; an undead creation of the Necromancer's, brought back to life to serve the immortal Lich King.
You are Necromancy-Aligned, and you win the game when all traitors to the old Crown have been killed.
As a Zombie there is not much you can do in the game, but you can at least post in the game thread at any time, Day or Night.
You do not get a vote in the Lynch decision-making process, but if there are enough of you then you can overwhelm the voters with a Zombie-Mob. If a Necromancy-Aligned player is leading the vote count, but there are an equal or greater number of Zombies than there are players on that wagon, you can activate the Zombie-Mob to vote-block all the players on that wagon until the end of the Day. This ability can only be used once per Day by anyone.
You may chat with other members of your team at any time in the Lich King's secret lair (Discord channel). Players in this channel are all Mod-confirmed to be Necromancy-Aligned, and they share your win-condition.
Time to make those traitors pay. Long live the immortal Lich King of Dominaria!!
You are the Queen of Dominaria. When the invincible King fell prey to his paranoid delusions, you did what you had to in order to ensure the continued prosperity of your kingdom. Since then, you've ruled as a benevolent monarch, and these days Dominaria knows peace, but that peace came at the cost of your peaceful dreams. Your nights are plagued by nightmares of the old King coming back from the dead to reclaim his throne and have his revenge. Surely this is lunacy. Are you doomed to go mad as KoD had? Maybe the throne of Dominaria is cursed...
You are Crown-Aligned, and you win if, when the game ends, there are more Living Players than Dead Players.
But soon you won't have to bear the burden of the throne alone. It is almost time for a new King of Dominaria to be crowned through the holy bonds of matrimony. Yes, the rumours of your pending nuptials are true—soon you will be remarried. Of course, such a bond can't be decided by random chance. At the beginning of the game, before the roles are randomly assigned, you get to choose which player you'd like to make your Royal Fiancé. Choose wisely, you will need a strong partner to council you in the days to come.
Beyond that, being Queen affords you several benefits. You are Lynchproof; this means, under normal circumstances, you cannot be lynched. You are also immune to being Roleblocked.
Furthermore, and perhaps most importantly, as Queen you alone decide if and when there is to be a public Lynching. On each Day beyond the first you may choose to approve or deny your subjects to engage in the regular voting/lynching process. You may make this decision at any time during the Day, but only once each Day (it's not fair to tell them there will be a Lynch and then go back on your decision). Once you've decided to approve a Lynch, it's up to them who to convict; you do not get a vote yourself in the Lynch decision-making process—as Queen, you must remain an impartial observer to such barbarisms. That said, there is no rule that says you mustn't make suggestions...
And of course, you may post in the game thread at any time, Day or Night.
At some point, you and your fiancé must tie the knot if you want him to officially become the New King of Dominaria. While this is optional, there is some incentive to do it—he'll become Lynchproof like you, as well as gain some new political powers. Both you and he must mutually agree to perform the royal wedding ceremony during any Day after the first in which you've decided no Lynch will occur (you cannot be married on a Day marred by a Lynching). The Day will be shortened and all players Roleblocked throughout it. Once you go through with this irreversible ceremony, your fiancé will be officially named the New King of Dominaria.
You may chat with your soon-to-be King at any time in your private courtroom, The Queen's Court (Discord channel). You share each other's alignment, but your win conditions differ. That said, unlike in the previous game, your win conditions are much more compatible than yours and the old King's was. Joining you there is the Captain of the Royal Guard, who is personally charged with your safety.
The game has begun. Good luck. Long live the Queen of Dominaria!
You are the soon-to-be New King of Domiaria. Among all her potential Royal Suitors, the widowed Queen of Dominaria has hand-picked you to rule by her side. Many will be jealous of your coveted position, and some might even resent your claiming the former King's throne. Best not to screw it up.
You are Crown-Aligned, and you win if, when the game ends, you have become the new King of Dominaria and are still alive.
As the Royal Fiancé, you are above normal amounts of scrutiny from the masses. While you are NOT Lynchproof yet, it does take more than a few disgruntled voters to fit you for a noose. You can only be Lynched if votes for you reach Majority + 2(Majority is defined as half the number of living registered citizens of Dominaria rounded down plus 1).
You are also so ambitious to become King that your ambition alone partially protects you from kill attempts. Until you are crowned as the new King of Dominaria, you can auto-resist the first attempt to kill you in the game. This "ambitious survivor" ability ceases to function after your coronation.
At some point, you and the Queen must tie the knot for you to officially become the New King of Dominaria. Both you and the Queen must mutually agree to perform the wedding ceremony during any Day after the first in which the Queen has decided no Lynch will occur (you cannot be married on a Day marred by a Lynching, and only the Queen may decide what Days those are). Once you go through with the ceremony, you'll be officially named the New King of Dominaria, and become Lynchproof like your Queen.
Besides making you Lynchproof, once you become King it will be your responsibility to appoint citizens to certain positions within the government. If any of the following roles (see list below) should die, you can appoint their replacements as a Day action. Note that this will grant your chosen player all the abilities of the role, but it won't change their alignment, so make sure you only appoint people that you trust to these key positions.
Captain of the Royal Guard Royal Inquisitor of Dominaria The Queen's Bishop
You do not get a vote in the Lynch decision-making process—as future King, you must remain an impartial observer to such barbarisms. That said, there is no rule that says you mustn't make suggestions...
And of course, you may post in the game thread at any time, Day or Night.
You may chat with your Queen at any time in her private courtroom, The Queen's Court (Discord channel). You share each other's alignment, but your win conditions differ. That said, your win conditions are compatible. Joining you there is the Captain of the Royal Guard, who is personally charged with the King and Queen's safety.
The game has begun. Good luck. Long live the Queen of Dominaria!
You are the Captain of the Royal Guard. While the Knights of Dominaria report to you, you report directly to the Queen, and it is you who is personally charged with her safety.
You are Crown-Aligned bodyguard, and you win if, when the game ends, the Queen is still alive.
Each Night you may protect one other Crown-Aligned player from being killed.
You may post in the game thread at any time, Day or Night. As a citizen of Dominaria, you also get a vote in the Lynch decision-making process, should the Queen decide one is necessary.
You may chat with your Queen and her soon-to-be King at any time in her private courtroom, The Queen's Court (Discord channel). You share each other's alignment, but your win conditions differ. That said, your win conditions are compatible.
The game has begun. Good luck. Long live the Queen of Dominaria!
You are a humble Blacksmith from the land of Dominaria. Day in, and day out, you ply your honest trade, supplying the people of this land with armor, weapons, and tools. Although lately, you've mostly just been making silver bullets. Rumors of monsters in the countryside have you nervous, and you've heard that they only thing that can kill them are silver bullets. Unfortunately, you don't have a gun.
You are Town-Aligned, and you win if you are still alive when the game ends.
At the end of each Day, if you didn't cast a vote for the entire Day, you'll craft one silver bullet. Silver bullets are deadly to monsters. You can have multiple silver bullets at a time.
You cannot craft a silver bullet on Day 1, nor on the day of the Royal Wedding (which will be a Day of the Queen's choosing).
Each Night, you may target a player other than yourself to give them all of your silver bullets. Of course, if they don't have a gun, they won't have any more use for the bullets than you had... Best choose wisely.
As a Blacksmith, you may post in the game thread only during the Day.
Each Day, you get to vote as part of the Lynch decision-making process, should the Queen decide one is necessary.
The game has begun. Good luck. Long live the Queen of Dominaria!
You are the Monster Hunter of Dominaria. When evil stalks the night and threatens loyal townsfolk, only you have the skills to stalk it in turn.
You are Town-Aligned, and you win if you are still alive when the game ends.
Evil takes many forms; for those that are more mundane, a Knight of Dominaria will often do, but there are forms of evil that take on supernatural qualities. When the likes of vampires, werewolves, demons, or witches are the foe of the hour, the Knights call upon you.
As a Monster Hunter, you are trained and equipped to kill those things that others fear. Each Night, you may target a player you suspect of being a monster to hunt them down and possibly kill them. At the end of the night, if your quarry proves to be something other than human, you will attempt to kill them with your gun (provided they are even killable; some monsters are harder to kill than others). If you track a player all night and find no evidence they are a monster in disguise, you will leave them unharmed. In the rare event that you catch a monstrous quarry in the act of preying on an innocent person, you will be given the option to interpose yourself between the monster and the human in an attempt to kill your quarry immediately before their action resolves (saving the human). Be warned, if you choose to act in this way and fail to kill the monster for whatever reason, you will die instead of the person you saved.
Killing monsters requires silver bullets, and you only have one of those at the moment. Worry not, you can craft more! Crafting a silver bullet requires going an entire Day without voting. That said, there are two exceptions: you cannot craft a silver bullet on Day 1 or on the day of the Royal Wedding (which will be a Day of the Queen's choosing).
The Monster Hunter may post in the game thread at any time, Day or Night. As a citizen of Dominaria, you also get a vote in the Lynch decision-making process, should the Queen decide one is necessary.
The game has begun. Good luck. Long live the Queen of Dominaria!
You are the Royal Inquisitor of Dominaria. When the Queen needs a problem solved with brute force, she sends in the Knights. When she needs a matter investigated discreetly, she calls for you.
You are Town-Aligned, and you win if you are still alive when the game ends.
Things have been quiet since the old King died... Too quiet. Your keen inquisitive mind tells you that this is the calm before a storm. Something is afoot, and you don't dare rest on your laurels mere days before the Queen's wedding. You've been looking into any and all crimes reported over the past 12 months, no matter how small, and one has caught your eye as peculiar: about 8 months ago, someone stole an old book from a museum. The book's title? Grimoirica Exmortis: A Guidebook to Mastering the Dark Arts. Smells like trouble.
As Royal Inquisitor, your deductive reasoning skills are unrivaled. Each Night, you may target a player other than yourself to investigate them. At the end of the night, you learn not only what abilities that player used, if any, but also who they used the ability on, if anyone.
The Royal Inquisitor may post in the game thread only during the Day. As a citizen of Dominaria, you also get a vote in the Lynch decision-making process, should the Queen decide one is necessary.
The game has begun. Good luck. Long live the Queen of Dominaria!
By Day, you are a humble Farmer in the land of Dominaria, but by Night, under the light of a full moon, you transform into a creature of wanton destruction: a Werewolf! You know not by what curse you have come to be this way, only that you must hide your secret, for if the town discovers you for what you are, they will surely kill you!
You are Town-Aligned, and you win if you are still alive when the game ends.
Each Night after the first I will roll a d20+X, where X is the Night's number (ie. d20+2 on Night 2). On a roll of 13 or higher, the moon enters its "Full" phase for the rest of the game. Thereafter you become a Werewolf by Night, killing a random player each time you do. As a Werewolf, you show up as a Monstrous Threat to the Town in investigations, and can only be killed by silver bullets. You still revert to your Farmer role during the Day.
The Farmer/Werewolf may post in the game thread only during the Day. As a citizen of Dominaria, you also get a vote in the Lynch decision-making process, should the Queen decide one is necessary.
The game has begun. Good luck. Long live the Queen of Dominaria!
You are a Mute Knight of Dominaria. One of several elite warriors appointed by the Queen Herself to defend the realm. Of course, you only got your appointment recently, so you're actually still too new at all this to really be considered "elite." A rookie Knight, if you will.
You are Town-Aligned, and you win if you are still alive when the game ends.
As a rookie Knight of Dominaria, you don't command the same prestige as a Knight of higher station, but you still have the authority to place citizens under arrest...once. One time during the Day you can arrest a player of your choice. That player becomes Roleblocked and Voteblocked until the following Day. Thereafter, if that player is revealed to have been a threat to the town, you get promoted to a regular Knight of Dominaria instead of just a rookie (your arrest ability won't be a 1/shot anymore).
Each Night, you may target a player other than yourself to place them under your watch. While you are watching a player, you will learn who has targeted them with an ability that Night, if anyone, but not what ability was used. As long as you are still a rookie, you must use this ability on the same player each Night, so choose your first target wisely. If you get promoted to a regular Knight, you can then use this ability on player instead.
Mute. Your character is mute and cannot talk to other players outside the game thread ever, even if an ability in the game would otherwise allow you to do so.
As a Knight, you may post in the game thread only during the Day.
Each Day, you get to vote as part of the Lynch decision-making process, should the Queen decide one is necessary.
The game has begun. Good luck. Long live the Queen of Dominaria!
ModNote: The "Mute" part of this role was added to accommodate OGSniper, who didn't have access to the Discord server because of parental units. That trait would follow him even if his role changed, for obvious reasons.

You are the Queen's Bishop. It is your job to use magic to defend the Crown and the citizens under its rule. You're not very good at your job.
You are Town-Aligned, and you win if you are still alive when the game ends.
As the Bishop, you have healing magic at your disposal. Each Night, you may target a player other than yourself to save them from an untimely demise. However, your curative spells are somewhat disorienting and leave the target unable to do much of anything else for a time. A healed player is both Roleblocked and Voteblocked until the end of the following Day while they recover—this debuff effect only applies if you actually prevented their death.
Alternatively, you can target a dead player to protect their spirit from the negative influences of Dark Magic, but be warned that doing so might reveal yourself to the practitioners of the Dark Arts if you're successful in protecting a spirit in this way.
If you are alive during the Queen's wedding, you can bless the Royal bride and groom, protecting them both on the following Night during their honeymoon. Two protections for the price of one. That Night you may not do anything else.
The Queen's Bishop, you may post in the game thread only during the Day. As a citizen of Dominaria, you also get a vote in the Lynch decision-making process, should the Queen decide one is necessary.
The game has begun. Good luck. Long live the Queen of Dominaria!
You are a humble traveling Tea Merchant. Although not originally from the land of Dominaria, you have come to think of it as a second home due to your close friendship with its monarch, the Queen.
You are Town-Aligned, and you win if you are still alive when the game ends.
As the Tea Merchant, you have the ear of the Queen. Although not officially a member of her royal court, she considers you a close friend and actually bothers to read your mail (unlike all her other mail which she has one of her subjects read for her). Once per Day you can send a private message to Queenie, CC:ing the game Mod. Queenie can reply to this message with one of her own if she wishes to do so.
Each Day, you may host a private tea party, inviting exactly one or two guests to join you. Your chosen guest(s) may come from the Royals or Living player pods, but Living players may each only be issued an invite in this way once per game. Conversely, Royals you can invite back as many times as you want, but no more than one Royal can attend your tea party at a time (they are busy people).
Once initiated, your private tea parties last until just 12 hours before the deadline of the Day. During a tea party, you will have access to a private Discord chat with your chosen guests. At any point during the tea party, you may select one of your specialty teas to serve. You have a limited supply of each tea, so choose wisely. The teas confer to you and your guests a single one-shot ability that you and they may use on the following Night, after which it expires. What exactly the abilities do is only revealed once the tea is consumed (although, you do get a hint below). Also, these abilities are not 100% effective; how effective they are depends on how much you steep your tea (this is intentionally ambiguous, so don't ask ).
The Tea Merchant may post in the game thread during the Day. Although you are not a true citizen of Dominaria, you do hold an "honourary citizenship" card that grants you a vote in the Lynch decision-making process, should the Queen decide one is necessary.
The game has begun. Good luck. Long live the Queen of Dominaria!
Mod Note: This role is directly based on the spin-off game run by Numbers and is only in the game if Neon Abigail signs up. If Neon Abigail is a player in the game then this role automatically goes to her, replacing one of the random vanilla town roles.
ModNote: "The Merchant" role mentioned as my alternate choice for if Abs didn't sign up would've been a less-flavorful copy of this role. There would've been no Tea Party Neighbour chat, just someone who hands out one-shot powers. The powers that could've been handed out were as follows.
Quote:
Night Watchman: Target a player to watch their house all Night. For each player who visits them during the Night, there is a X% chance you will be told of their visit. You may not use this ability in conjunction with other targeted abilities unless they both target the same person.
Quote:
Motivated Guardian: Target a player other than yourself to guard their house all Night. If KoD targets them with his Consume Soul ability, there is a X% chance you will be able to block his kill attempt. This percentage is additive with other players who use this same ability. You may not use this ability in conjunction with other targeted abilities unless they both target the same person.
Quote:
Blueberry Goo: If anyone targets you with an ability toNight (Night 5) their name will be blue in the OP (opening post) and vote counts toMorrow (Day 6), and you will be told what abilities were used to target you, but not who used them.
Quote:
Limited One-Shot Bulletproof: The first time someone attempts to kill you this Night, there is a X% chance the kill attempt fails.
Quote:
Night Voter: ToNight you can vote for a player as though you were voting for them to be Lynched. If a Lynch is approved on the following Day, your Night vote will count in the votecount in addition to any vote you place on the following Day.
Quote:
Straight-up Full Cop: Target a player to investigate them toNight. There is a X% chance you will be told their Alignment.
...And then there was poor, poor Ragnarokio...
Doomed Prisoner

Long live the King!
You are the Doomed Prisoner of Dominaria. All day and all night you sit locked away in the Tower, awaiting your inevitable execution. A fate you won't have long left to wait for, I'm afraid.
What terrible crime did you commit that warrants such a fate, you ask? The worst crime in Dominaria's lawbooks: Conspiracy to commit Regicide—the murder of your king. You see, once upon a time, roughly four years ago, it was you who led the rag-tag group of rebels who ultimately killed the King of Dominaria. It was a team effort, but at the end of the day you were their leader, and so the buck stops with you.
Mind you, in your defense, the King had gone insane and was going to kill everyone in his kingdom had he not been stopped. Even his loving waifu, the Queen, could see in the end that the death of the unkillable king was the only way to save the kingdom, and she supported your actions that day. Although you were heralded as a hero for doing what must be done, the law of Dominaria is clear; Regicide is a crime that must be punished with death, and even the Queen can't change that law lest she invite assassins with delusions of grandeur to threaten her throne.
And so, you and your co-conspirators were placed in shackles and locked in the (nicest) cell in the Tower, to await your grisly fates. That's where you've been for four long years. Why so long? Well, although the Queen couldn't absolve you of your terrible crime, she could forestall the sentencing almost indefinitely, and she didn't have the heart to hang you for a rebellion that saved her kingdom. Perhaps she would have even allowed you to live confined to the Tower for many more years, had she not finally found a suitor... You see, there's one more part of the law that hangs over your head: A new King of Dominaria cannot be crowned while the previous King's killers yet live.
The rumors are true, the Queen is finally to be wed and a new King of Dominaria will be crowned through the bonds of holy matrimony. Thus, mere days before her royal wedding, your sentencing must finally be carried out. The last loose end to the grisly affair that took place all those years ago.
Your fate is sealed, so it would be unfair to try and tempt you with things outside of your reach. As such, you do not have an alignment, nor a win condition. At present time, you cannot win the game.
Because it is to be your last day alive, the Queen has granted you supervised reprieve from your cell in the Tower. You may post in the game thread only during the first Day, at the end of which, you will be Lynched.
You do not get a vote.
The game has begun. I'd wish you good luck, but alas, your luck has run out before it even began. Long live the Queen of Dominaria!
ModNote: Fun fact, despite all appearances to the contrary, you were selected for this role entirely at random! All of the lore text that calls out you being the leader of the rebels was actually only added after I found out you were getting this role (before it was meant to be some other crime). The fact it landed on you was a happy accident. Cool, huh?

KoD Lives Again! All Traitors Must Die!!
You are a Zombie; an undead creation of the Necromancers, brought back to life to serve the immortal Lich King.
Doomed Prisoner: Your role prior to becoming a Zombie was the Doomed Prisoner. This unique history confers two additional passive abilities to your Zombie role that other Zombies don't have.
1) You have a posting restriction: you cannot reveal in the game thread anything you learned from the secret lair discord chat, intentionally or otherwise. Violating this posting restriction will result in a ModKill. 2) If your soul is ever consumed by the Lich King, that is not the end of the game for you (as it would be for anybody else).
Time to make those traitors pay. Long live the immortal Lich King of Dominaria!!
You are the Angel of Hope; a doomed soul who was somehow spared, against all odds, from KoD's tyranny. Now you must share your gift with other doomed souls, sparing them the ultimate soul-consumption fate.
You are Holy-Aligned, and you win the game when no souls are left behind in the void of Doomed Souls.
You cannot post in the game thread. Instead, you can only interact with Doomed Souls in the Doomed Souls channel on Discord. Each Night, you can visit a different Crown-Aligned or Town-Aligned player (no repeats) by sending them a single message (CC:ing the mod), which can contain details of your plight in the void of Doomed Souls. As part of this message, you must ask for their help in restoring those lost souls. You cannot provide more details about your strange request than that, and they may not reply to this message.
If they accept your strange request on faith alone, on the following Day you can use your holy magics to heal up to two Doomed Souls from the ultimate fate bestowed upon them by KoD. Choose a player whose soul KoD had Consumed; that player becomes Holy-Aligned and ascends out of the Doomed Souls void. Additionally, souls healed in this way do not count as dead players for the purposes of meeting Queenie's win condition.
It has been a hard road to get to this place. Let all your suffering be for something good.
ModNote: The Doomed Zombie would become the Angel of Hope if (and only if) KoD had killed them using his Consume Soul ability. This was more likely than you might think, given KoD's Consume Soul ability by default required him to select a Necromancy-Aligned backup target, which ended up being Ragnarokio every single Night of the game.
seems like no-lynching was probably the right move for town then, since otherwise KoD would have effectively gained an extra life every night until tevish was killed, and that makes the LyLo math pretty rough
i haven't read every role yet though

I like that Zinger has not only created a game series, but built lore which has been added to it.
Truly a testament to the players of this community.
gg on losing though
*Highfives the Necrobros.*
