Hey, silver linings! That’s almost as many people who were still watching by the season finale

I officially gave up with two episodes left. I don’t even care what happens

I’m moving onto either s4 True Detective or Horizon: An American Saga

I’m not watching any more Disney Star Wars unless I hear broad positive buzz across the entire fan base after it’s aired. That got me to watch Andor, and that series was worth it. But I’ve been burned by too much of their garbage, going in on character hype like Book of Boba Fett, or trusting series that had been good like Mando S3.

And sheesh, Barno. You get enjoyment out of absolute slop. It you couldn’t even finish Alcolyte that says a lot…

I even finished that animated Resident Evil series on Netflix and that was unbelievably bad. I’m a big enough SW fan and I’m not getting anything out of Acolyte. Glad it’s over. I’m looking forward to s4 of True Detective

I think I’ve talked about it before but s4 has a massive dispersion between critic reviews and user reviews. Critics have it as a must watch season with reviews averaging 8.1/10. This is really high considering s1 had 8.7 and it one of the single best seasons of any tv show ever.

USER reviews have s4 as a 3.6/10. That gap is insane which makes me think people are more mad about s4 being girl cops instead of the traditional 3 seasons we’ve had of bromances (although season 2 sort of had a stabby girl cop)

Wanted to talk about money/wealth for a sec cuz a very famous report came out 3-4 days ago that gave what the new amount of net worth is required to be « wealthy ». Note that this is according to American average costs of living so it would be different in each country and vastly different in most countries.

I was gonna put it under spoiler to see if you can guess but the current amount to be considered wealthy is 2.5 million dollars in total net worth. At that point, you’d be considered wealthy.

When I grew up, a million was a BIG deal. If you managed to become a millionaire, you were basically rich. Nowadays, you can’t even retire with a million, it’s not enough. You’d have to keep working. Nowadays you’re expected to hit a million in net worth during your FOURTIES if you are considered to be on track for a normal retirement. It’s a really big difference.

Also, and I found this rather shocking, to be considered ´upper class’ and out of the middle class, you only have to be in the top 20% of earners. That’s crazy to me cuz I thought upper class was at least top 5% and even potentially just top 1%. I don’t know if you’ve looked at 20th percentile of average incomes but it’s not hard to reach at all. With a university degree in a field with job demand, you should hit that easy and within a decade or two of graduation (much earlier in some fields).

The funny thing is that upper class people would SOUNDLY reject this premise and finding. They say that you are born into upper class and can’t earn your way into it (I’ve been around these people, they are nightmares). They say that Donald Trump
Isn’t Upper class (even though he totally is by every single metric), and that you don’t need money to be upper class (except that you do, lol).

Anyway, I love it when these reports come out cuz they’re fascinating

S4 of True Detective is really solid so far. Btw I don’t remember the last time I saw a season premiere introduce this many new characters and yet ALL of them are memorable

Just finished shooting the music video. Haven't had much time to do any sight seeing. We went to Bourbon Street and partied 2 nights ago.

We did some shots next to the old factory that they used for the 2nd Planet of the Apes (new) and several shots around the French Quarter then we did some car shots of them driving an old Mustang Convertible around Downtown and the French Quarter

I had breakfast there at some place called MOTHERS and it was maybe one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever had

I was at Harrah’s the rest of the time lol. Playing 4/8 hold’em
