meh, if you're not on the same wavelength as them you're not going to get it. I used to get upset over south park's depictions of my faith but then i moved on to worrying about other things. Personally, I don't find the painting to be sacred, there are however things i do find sacred and be would be very upset over if treated not in the right manner.

My source of humor in this is that the people getting triggered made fun of others for getting triggered.

I know ya'll don't fully understand BloodBowl but oh well. I'm playing Chaos Chozen v Lizardmen. His little lizard ball carrier gets to far from my guys to hit but I can "base" him by standing next to him. This forces him to dodge away, rolling dice and possibly failing. The problem is he will have a square I can't cover, so his dodge is an easy 2+ on a d6, with a free reroll because his player has the Dodge skill.

I skillfully fill in some squares next to his guy and that allows me to abuse the Push mechanic to get my player 1 square closer there by filling that gap. That forces two dodges, one being 3+ and the second being 2+.

Do you mean the political outrage -> which is thinly veiled, and relatively obviously a problem with the people (and types of people) involved in the live tableau...

OR

Do you mean the legitimate religious outrage -> which I think I would be interested to hear your take on.

for some Christians being a drag queen goes against what they feel is God's stance on the whole male/female issue. And the last supper since it depicts Christ it is considered sacred and many don't mind the other "actual" parodies like the BSG example. So it's a two for one deal. If it hadn't been drag queens and instead been done with any one else or a different painting it would have just been met with a shrug and move on.

At least that's my understanding. I'll note that I'm Christian and don't find it upsetting. But others do.

My guess: grossophobia = fear or intense dislike of disgusting people.

That certainly jives with what I know, but I wouldn't know if he was inspired by someone even older that came before him.

Honestly, Rush did the most damage to the US of any single person I can think of. He really marked the beginning of the end of bipartisan politics. The only question, to me, is was he the symptom of an even deeper issue, or the cause?

I would venture to say Regan and Newt were the beginning of the end of any kind of accepted "liberalism" Rush just drove the spike given to him.

So; going back to the Olympics Opening Ceremony/Rob Schneider Tweet, but from a different angle.

I've lost a lot of respect for Rob. Aren't comedians supposed to defenders of the Freedom of Speech? I guess I prefer comedians who are more offensive and less offended. That's one group of people that I would have expected to defend things like that. In fact, it's just not Schneider. If I see any comedian tweet about being offended or boycotting something I'm just gonna stop watching their shows, their HBO/Netflix specials ect ect.

I feel exactly the same way. i think it's just to get attention and should be completely ignored. it's not like Taylor Swift is tweeting about it. She has major influence. Rob is basically like a waiter at Medieval Times. As Patrice O'Neal famously joked about Anthony Jeselnik, "hurry up and get me my turkey leg, you focking nothing" LOL

But yeah, there is nothing worse than offended comedians. It is SO lame. Totally turns me off of them for basically forever.

In any case trans people and the whole diversity rainbow earned with blood the right to mock the catholic church.
