On Rubik: Rubik concerns me, since KoD talks about wanting him dead, but then took action against ExLight instead. This could be a matter of distancing. I don't want to advance KoD's wincon in this game, but at the same time I've got klaxons of paranoia firing here. It would also make sense if Rubik were scum why Lain was very publicly KoD-killed.

On ExLight: Having played more games with KoD than I have with, say, Steve, I'm of the opinion that Ex is most likely not a KoD loyalist IIRC the first game had a lot of functional third party, and this one might be similar, but at the very least he's not core scum. My reason for this is that Scum KoD has a fairly direct and forceful play. He doesn't try to get cute by using abilities sub-optimally, or at least hasn't done so as far as I recall.
