Mercifully my family lives in town so I only have to endure half a day, tops, with the most troublesome elements. Good luck, everyone trapped in worse.

I just had the perspective shift on me and realized Cowboy Bebop is about 25 years old.
I'm... Going to go stare at the wall for a while.

I have just learned that the longest written work in the history of mankind is a fanfiction of the Nickelodeon show The Loud House that racks in at 16 MILLION words and counting.

I know this is a weird thing, but all my favorite Superman stories are about the fact he's Clark, not Superman.
He's one of the few superheroes that we know what his favorite food is, and that's just so.... Human.

So, it's been a bit quiet, might as well drum up a little.
How's everybody been lately?

Been churning out Miraculous fanfics, to everybody's surprise (including my own); work has been meh - worked through the winter holidays, but it was so slow I actually wrote at work multiple hours a day lol between writing and two TTRPGs (especially the VtM one I'm GMing) my brain is extremely distracted lately, but I'm pretty satisfied all things considered.

It's been a crazy year for me so far, and things are hectic here as the new semester gets going. Overall, though, things are pretty good.

Model kits. That's sort of what I've been up to. It's fun!

I think I might undertake a large scale comparative analysis of Pink Floyd and Evangelion.
It's something I've halfway worked on before, but I finally have a good structure for it by exploding the themes and subjects according the tracks themselves

Great paint job as usual Barinellos. Sorry it took so long to respond, but I've been distracted lately, and when the site was slow, I really didn't feel like posting anything.

Speaking of Warhammer...sort of...I am now playing in a D&D 5e campaign set in the Warhammer fantasy world. It's fun so far, but I neither know nor care about Warhammer lore, so that's been a bit of a hurdle, especially when most of the other players descend into Warhammer reference sound machine:

Spoiler

I exaggerate, but I do tend to tune out when they start lore-diving. I actually specifically designed my character as an amnesiac to explain why I know absolutely nothing about the world or the lore.

Anyway, I hope everyone's doing well!

Well in the interests of helping you out, here is some sure-to-be useful info that isn't just gleaned from dabbling years ago. :p

Crash Course in WHFB Lore: History

Crash Course in WHFB Lore: Factions

Yeah, no clue what was up with that, but I totally get it. The site was acting really weird.
But hey, it gave me enough time to do Another One.
This one is modeled after the Doom Slayer.

I'm not terribly well read on the Age of Sigmar or Old World stuff, but I like a few factions. The Seraphon are cool, being Aztec magic star lizards.
The Stormhost are... Fantasy Space Marines.
Funny how the Space portion of that actually has to stay in to convey the meaning.
The Orruk are... Well, just Orcs, but what do you want?
And the Kharadon Overlords have a nice aesthetic.

This is why everybody should homebrew. Once a setting gets too wrapped up in itself it becomes harder to roleplay.
