The winners were all from your alliance at least and Vro and Amber both were fine with how things played out. We never turned on each other, people just lost the will to play one by one.

It looks like since there were 3 invitations, anyone could have won in a 4 player team (with the +1 and the factionless deculted spider cult capable of winning with the Akkadians in theory). More balanced than I expected, but obviously some factions were stronger than others. The secondary role of the roleswapper being split between two players was a pretty big ace that we hid as long as we could and as we gradually realized it was insanely powerful, there was no longer really much that could be done to stop us. Infinite swaps that occur mid-phase both night and day is pretty insane, especially when you have two roles so you can swap the other one as needed.

yeah, there was probably a small window i could have stabbed you guys in the back and thrown a wrench into everything but i think it was the night before queenie gave me the option to swing a lynch and as i said im not extremely interested in stabbing you guys in the back :p

looks like my notes were actually pretty much complete not too long into the game, too which was nice
i have no idea what nonsense vro and rubik were cooking but it seemed pretty silly, everything else seemed pretty fine though especially considering the size of the game
there was always going to be a lot of chaos considering how much role swapping was built in, and i think that probably helped? it was fun, at least

People got invitations and went to the tea party and won! Everybody else went to the counterfeit party and counterfeit won?

Anyways, more thoughts that may or may not be of mechanical nature or game play nature. Just thoughts.

In my assessment Amber was on the money I'm her views of the Akkadian condition. I would argue it was actually the easiest win con, as both could win so long as just one of them was active, they had a dedicated kill, only had to kill (at max) three more players than every other faction, didn't have to worry about securing an invite, and had the info bomb role so once they hooked up they would have a really good sense of the field without even taking into account interacting with others. Where it seemed hard was that it wasn't an instant win role. Leg work was required, even if Monster did pair off with Ze quickly. Monster wasn't about that life though. She initially assumed because I didn't state faction mates in her role pm that meant she didn't have any. When it was pointed out that she did, she put minimal effort into finding them and when was essentially told Wilgy was her faction mate tried to meta game of that was true based on the information in her role pm. When that obviously failed she immediately gave up on any continued correspondence with Wilgy, which cut her off from all the information that slot had to offer. Luckily Ze pulled Wilgy into the fold so it at least wasn't someone they had to contend against because of this. She still had a strong chance to pull an Akkadian win late game but decided that her votes and ability uses were best spent directed at me instead of towards advancing herself to a winning game state. Game throwers gonna throw, whatcha gonna do?

On the other side of that coin I think Ze did an excellent job getting Monster as far as she got.despite monster. One misstep that she had that I mentioned to her real time was that the kumbaya victory was floated too early. It would have been better in terms of helping monster to throw it out late game after half the board cleared itself away or so. But overall a very commendable effort especially considering how much this game just stressed her the **** out. Hopefully life for her is much less stressful now! <3

I imagine this game would have been much wilder if KoD hadn't been throwing in the first half. After his rebirth though (and possibly having his autonomy questioned to put it politely) he was much more lively though and did some excellent orchestrating.

The OP magician ended up being the result of a few on the fly decisions, mainly centered around the early drops. Had those drops been later in the game I probably would have just let the roles fall to the void but since it was so early I didn't want to imbalance any of the teams more so than they might already be, with the magician role itself being a heavy factor in that since that was Camelot's powerhouse role, along with Rome's wiretapper. I doubt anybody would be sad to see the introvert implode. Doing it all again I wouldn't have split the magician or maybe should have just made it factional access. But that would not have carried over well for the introvert since that role would basically stop existing if it wasn't on a specific person. Tying it to the cutthroat would have been fun because then it could hit potato around until the Cutthroat leaves play, then the last cutthroat wouldn't be just vanilla.

One thing I think people were too quick to do was abandon their factions. Two factions never did this the entire game and surprise surprise, those were the last two factions standing.

To that end of I was going to slap MVP's on this game one would be Vro, who definitely championed the Hyrule/Camelot coalition. The other would probably be Amber who never stopped stroving towards victory until things were essentially impossible because said coalition was too strong in the endgame.

I think that's all I got to say for now, maybe forever.

I felt having our faction being named carthage was more of an hydrance than you were thinking d1, finding my allies was such a pain, even if I seeded being a town aligned player D1 for retroactive recognition

Not being able to remove abilities by lynching was a bit weird tbh, not sure if it was a good idea.

Gg everyone, sad my last plan of game manipulation by quitting the game to surgically remove roles wasn't picked up by the dead people.

I think the hindrance you experienced was people assuming you were lying like all the time. Which wasn't on you being Carthage, it was on you lying like almost all the time. Still not sure what the end game plan was there. Like you even lied to your faction mates more than you didn't.

Mostly I was stuck with the idea that players already managed to put together an alliance D1, and since I was starting D2 I could have being fed a lot of lies when it came to faction mates, especially since Carthage was extremely easy to fake accidentally, add that freddeh and dusky didn't seem to trust each other and I was just wary one of them was a mole, especially dusky since freddeh buddying zinger d1 probably meant that he told him about carthage so dusky could have picked that up very easily from another player. Manwhile freddeh was stuck with the cult and could have potentially changed faction any day to get rid of it.

So even later, when dusky came to me asking if I was now the cuttroath I was also juggling worries about me not becoming that after Freddeh's death because either freddeh or dusky was not carthage and was not sure I could trust Dusky

My plan was mostly try to survive lynches until people were forced to go after bigger fishes, and then strike some deal with some half gone faction, if necessary even trying to just have the counterfeit and hoping it did something since my role felt super sacrificable.

Those two were much more forth right with each other in their private chat which illustrates the point you kinda made your own bed with the amount of lies you told. A fair amount of paranoia and subterfuge is to be expected but you went right over that landscape into boy who cried wolf territory like you were in a secret game to see who could tell the most lies or something. Which I'm going to write down as a future 3p.

It seems I have more in common with HW than I ever thought possible.

Huh.

Tbf I tried to trust both you and Dusky, but you were being so damn cagey I was worried you were trying to play me so was playing wary. Dusky I tried to go all in on but she already had KoD it seemed, and the whole KoD/Ex/Zinger/Me **** d1/d2 made things exceedingly rough very early.

My goal ended up being to try and go the Rag route but I never got the chance and Rag beat me to it, wp ;).

Once I came back I basically decided I was playing with house money, and was planning on playing with KoD/Sky/Dusky etc but someone told Amber about the reviver so I was pretty much forced to try and play the middle with her, but she was too far on Zenon's side to do it the full way. I could have changed targets last second but was hoping I just wouldn't be a threat/could have some fun with a gun and just play the 'well i'm annoyed with Monster AND KoD AND Tevish so as long as I outlast them lets call this a win' lmao.

Fun game, though the invite mechanic imo made it drag real bad.

It's finally at an end.

Heck of a ride.

I considered sending Fred a message recanting my threat after getting role swapped to sweet talker from cutthroat but didn't, I didn't think he'd burn it forever to kill me.

Ah well, I guess I'll just have to have my own tea party in hell. I'll bring Junko and Hecatia and Clownpiece and it'll be great.

Tbh, I thought Wilgy was with your faction, just didn't know lol.

Ah, so I was correct in that targeting Neon would have been bad, however I was incorrect in thinking that it was bad for my role specifically...I thought trying to pass a fake invitation to Neon would be sure to get me killed but that was the correct option. I mean I got my initial invitation anyway but still.

Yeah, no, the entire idea was a shell game by which I would threaten you to draw the protection of HW (believed to be of your faction) onto you in order to open up Monster for a kill, while having Vro jail Minish (believed to be a doc type) to eliminate the other possible layer of protection and secure the spite kill. In the process I promised Vro that if the power to de-exile came into my hand, I would use it that way as long as the jailing was done. I wasn't expecting to have to pay off that, but I'm a man of my word and Monster got deleted anyway.

My faction mates were known to me. We were pretty sure there was a conspiracy to eliminate Asgard given how both of them went down the night after my exile, and that Neon was at the heart of it, at which point killing Monster seemed like the best way to claim bloody revenge.

Yeah, I'm not sure what I could've done better in this situation? I'd drop hints of data here and there and compare it to what the others were saying while chilling in the background. By the time I had realized that I was definitely aligned with M0nster things had already stagnated. I knew to support the group with M0nster in it, but outside of that, there was really nothin.

When I inherited M0nster's protections and was the solo Akkadian, there was very little I could do to thin the factions to match my count of 1.
