Playtest cards aren't exactly good examples of how the rules work, but now that I've thought about it, I guess a creature being on the battlefield with 0 toughness isn't really that different from a player not losing the game at 0 life because they have a Platinum Angel.

So maybe it would be fine with some minor rules tweaks. We'd probably need some specific new rule, for example, to say that something can't be sacrificed if that wouldn't result in it leaving the battlefield.

I think The Elderspell begs to differ.

I think that ship has sailed: Annihilating Glare, Bloodchief's Thirst, Bone Shards, Cut Short, Fateful Absence, Fracture. Planeswalker destruction gets bundled with creature destruction pretty frequently already. And half of those are stronger than "End" would be, because a card that does nothing but kill planeswalkers is pretty narrow. See also The Elderspell.

I mean a 5/5 that takes control of a creature is a different card than a sorcery that does it. The Invoke the Wind comparison is valid. This could probably cost .

I wasn't trying to imply anything one way or another, it was just a casual observation that I found kind of amusing, like we've come full circle.

I do think you could cost it any number of ways depending on the environment, 7 might be reasonable at uncommon in a slower limited format.

The main cards that self-exile are ones that bring things back from your graveyard, and ones that give extra turns

The idea is to prevent repetition. Stealing all your opponent’s creatures would probably end the game faster so it’s fine
