M0nster's Cute Mafia Game of Cute Lil' Monsters 2: Open Season for Chaos

This is my sequel game to my original game from last year (found here) which just rehashes the same design file, mostly, but with the added twist of now y'all know what's in it. Oopsies. Open setups do be like that. It is a non-standard Mafia game for 9 10 players. It will confuse and annoy you, but also amuse and titillate you, with a healthy dose of confound, irritate, perturb, frustrate, enlighten, stupify, and adore you, sometimes all at once. Do not play without consulting a doctor. That's a joke. Maybe.

Here are the rules that I apparently blatantly stole from one of Zinger's games, though I have no memory of doing such, and edited to suit my needs because I was lazy and didn't want to come up with them all myself. Well, I'm still lazy (maybe even more), so I just used the same ones all over again (with one small addition). Read them or don't, but know that ignorance of the rules won't protect you from punishments for breaking them.



If you don't understand your role or the rules, feel free to ask me about it. I'll answer your questions if it doesn't hurt my chances of winning. Oh yeah, in case you somehow weren't aware, I'll be playing in this game too! Now you're probably thinking "But wait! How is that fair? You know everyone's roles and alignments and stuff..." To which I say... HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Oh that's rich, you thought this game would be fair. HA!

No, but seriously, my role has an ability called Omniscience, and it's basically a passive ability that grants me knowledge of every working piece of the game, so like even if I gave this uber role to one of you, I'd still have to tell you everything. That's why it doesn't matter that I'm both a Mod and a Player, mostly. But that's enough about my role, let's talk about yours.

You each get to be a Cute Lil' Monster™. Each monster has a color that is tied to their alignment and win conditions. I.E. if you are a Pink Lil' Monster, it means you are also Pink-Aligned and have the Pink Win Condition. If you later become a Red Lil' Monster, you will also be Red-Aligned and have the Red Win Condition. You can't be a Pink Monster and have a Red Win Condition. That's not possible. It defies the laws of Cuteness, and we won't be doing any of that this game. Got it? Good.

Time to introduce you to my Cute Lil' Monsters.



Smart Lil' Monsters have already noticed that there are 9 10 Lil' Monsters and 9 10 of you. You get a gold star.

Here's how the story goes. In the beginning, there were 7 Chaos Emeralds. Yes, the very same 7 Chaos Emeralds from the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series, but for legal reasons we can't associate with them at all so just forget all about that why don't cha. Anyway, there were these 7 legally distinct Emeralds of Chaos, each with the power to alter reality in their own way, but they were lonely so they created the first monster to be their friend (we'll call her M0nster to distinguish her from the Lil' Monsters). Problem was, M0nster was forgetful and a klutz so she kept losing these really important reality warping Chaos Emeralds all over the universe. Eventually, she decided to split herself up into 10 Lil' Monsters so they could keep better track of the Chaos Emeralds. Why 10 and not 7? Base 10 math is easier than base 7 math, obviously. The 7 Chaos Emeralds were each entrusted to one Lil' Monster, who slowly changed their form to match the aura of the Chaos Emerald they got. The 3 leftover Lil' Monsters who did not get a Chaos Emerald also changed their form to better match the feeling they felt from being left out, jealousy, apathy, and confusion. This is how the world of Lil' Monsters was made, and it was beautiful and good. But then things changed. Some of the Lil' Monsters thought their form was a more perfect form than the others, and set about trying to make others conform to their auras. Some discovered there was more to life than watching over Chaos Emeralds and began to give themselves new purposes. Some decided they coveted what the others had that they lacked. As the Lil' Monsters changed on the inside, so too did they change on the outside, and the peaceful beautiful cute world of Lil' Monsters was thrown into chaos.

But wait, this is a sequel, right? And at the end of the last game, the homogenous Green Lil' Monsters Cult won. So, like, what does that mean for the plot? Who the **** cares! You read to much into things. Blah blah blah blah something about Chaos Emeralds don't like homogenous synchronicity, and blah blah blah reset things to the previous chaotic status quo, with a side order of blah blah blah stern finger wag and a warning that homogenous Lil' Green Cults better watch themselves if they don't want to be turned into green paste on the carpet this time around. Got it? Good.

As I was saying, the peaceful, cute world of Lil' Monsters is once again thrown into chaos, and only you, the Lil' Monsters, can determine its ultimate fate!

WELL HELLO AGAIN MY FAVORITE CUTE LIL' MONSTERS!



We get to do this all over again! Only this time, y'all have a better idea of what's going down because the setup is openly available to view whenever you want (hint: it's on like page 13 of the previous game thread). Now, I may have cheated a little bit and gave some of you a leg-up on the competition in the form of a P.S. message at the end of your role PMs, but other than that, and also the obvious starting the game at Night 0 instead of Day 1, the design file is unchanged from before! Meaning, you can expect that there is an annoying (but still cute) lil' Green Cult out there somewhere who is going to ruin everybody (but especially my) fun. Oh, and it's Rag. Rag is the Lil' Green Cult Monster. Sorry Rag, but this Savage Cute Lil' Mod isn't going to lose twice in her own game to the same stupid culting tactic.

Unfortunately, given the game started at Night 0, Rag has already had plenty of time to go and cult someone, and that someone is Zinger2099. Shoot. What's a girl to do? It's only Day 1 and the Cult is already getting out of hand! Somebody do something!! I mean, somebody did already try to do something (my Cute Lil' Red Monster tried to kill Rag, rock on!), but they forgot that kill attempts fail Night 0, according to rule 11 which I'm sure y'all read. Anyway, somebody kill Rag and Zinger, cuz momma needs to win this time. Also, KoD has a gun and is pointing it at my head so somebody kill him too.

ANYWAYS, IT IS NOW DAY 1

For like, at least the next 96 hours. I mean, exactly the next 96 hours cuz deadlines are supposed to be hard-set. But like, even though the deadline is hard-set, I may still be late to showing up and ending the Day if you know what I mean... Ya girl has to pay the rent, and my boss doesn't care if my work shift overlaps with my mafia deadline. I know what you're thinking: "but M0nster, can't you just use your cute powers to get someone to pay your rent for you?" Well, yeah, I'm working on it, but that **** doesn't happen overnight! KoD might be sucking dick for players to join my game, but I'm still haven't managed to convince him to suck dick for rent money for me yet. Give it time.

Well, that was rude... Nobody's even posted yet and already I get doxed by the Mod...

Oh, also... First! Yeah, I'm cool like that.

Let's see... My NLP is active and the Mod clearly doxed me so I see no point in denying it... Yeah, I started as grey little monster and was one for a few seconds it seems before I got very quickly culted and now I'm green. But let's not be too hasty here... We can talk about this. I see no reason why anyone is necessarily motivated to follow the Mod's instructions for murder blindly. It's an open setup so I feel like we could just solve this game and all win as one big happy green cult family. What do you say? Truce?? I'm extending a green olive branch here!

In the interests of truceness and felatio, we are all just gonna run rough shot on monster today to kibosh resurrections and put that sweet sweet white emerald into the mix, ja?

That'd be a good idea, except for the part where somebody already beat you to the punch. I don't have the White Chaos Emerald anymore.

as far as i can tell the strategy that involves the most players winning here is killing/culting killing roles asap and then slowly culting the rest of the players (taking at least 9 days) and eventually converting every player to green, resulting in everyone except perhaps the killing roles if we end up killing rather than culting them winning.

Red, Yellow, Gray(25% chance), and Cyan(5% chance) are the roles that can kill by default. Gray is already out of the equation, and we know red is KoD so we can either cult or kill him today/tonight. My cult is also a roleblock so depending on how timing works i can safely cult him.

Orange can also technically kill people now that they have the white chaos emerald, which lets them have one wish granted per day. What exactly constitutes a valid wish is ambiguous but if its broad enough then the game should already be unwinnable for anyone but orange except at their mercy, so they might be a non-factor insofar as they're too powerful to do anything about.Its possible monster will decide that what constitutes a valid wish is more balanced than what one could interpret it as though, in which case somehow dealing with orange should be a priority.

Oh, this is my fault because I publicly said "Vote: Ragnarokio". I can see how that'd be confusing. I'll take this opportunity to remind players that, per rule 8, votes are made in private by PM only. You can, of course, tell people who you are voting for in the game thread if you want, the way I did just now to advertise my voting for Ragnarokio.

How convenient for you. But it also doesn't stop you from resurrecting, as that's not an emerald ability. Further the cult should want to see that stopped as they will be looking to get rid of killing colors per Rag's stated strategy whereas your strategy last game was to resurrect thorns in their side until you were killed. So you're still a priority get without your emerald.

orange stealing the emerald was the only way i could see that monster would lose her emerald n1 and considering the open setup is also the only play orange would reasonably make assuming they were aware the setup was open (as it seems you weren't).

red being KoD is per monster's claim (which could admittedly be a lie) and gray being out of the equation is per zinger's NLP.

i actually misread monster's thing KoD is probably yellow per monster's claim. I guess that would make you either red or a role that know's KoD's identity?

Grey's not out of the equation until resurrections are stopped. Just saying.

Also @Dark, you only got lynched last game because you were voting for yourself though...

I will not give any more information regarding my own role at this time.

And by the way, I forgot to mention that I am also invoking a NLP this game. I will not tell a lie unless the truth would place me or a team I belong to in an unwinnable position (typically by revealing my alignment to those in opposition against that alignment).
