As for "Desperado," it's a very good song, and I really like a lot of the Eagles' stuff.
For my money, I actually really don't care for the Eagles. Partly was just a mild disinterest to start with, but my guitar teacher LOVED them, so guess what we got to hear constantly as we tried to learn to play stuff?
Yeah, not a fan, as a result.

Possibly while high...
Solid reference. I also love the Smashing Pumpkins line in that episode.
Smashing Pumpkins is a band I actually don't associate with the 90's despite them being prevalently prominent during the 90's.
That may largely be because the album I most immediately associate with them was Ava Adore, which was a VERY different approach to their music for the most part, aside from "Perfect" which was a sequel to "1979"
Which... amusingly shook loose the music video to "Do the Evolution" by Pearl Jam in my head.

I never listened to the Spice Girls, but as you say, they were definitely a 90s phenomenon. Your mentioning it did remind me of "No Scrubs" by TLC, which I heard a lot, mostly because one of my friends used to blast that song all the time for no adequately explored reason.
TLC feels like a group that had a lot of solid hits and has unfairly faded into semi-obscurity and it feels like such a waste.
Also, every time they come up, there's a male group that pings on my radar and I cannot bloody remember their name or the song I'm thinking of.

The last of the Disney movies that I watched was The Lion King. Technically, I went to Pocahontas in the theaters, although the less said about that, the better.
I think it's so funny that they thought Pocahontas was going to be such a phenomenon. And then Dreamworks came in and bloodied their noses instead.

A 90s song that I've forgotten to mention so far, but that came on my music player while driving today, is "Insensitive" by Jann Arden. I love that frickin' song.
I can't say that I can place that song, but I'll give it a listen later to see if I'm just being absent minded.

Another 90s song that we haven't mentioned is "Breakfast at Tiffany's" by Deep Blue Something. While I wouldn't say I love the song by any means, I don't dislike it as much as some people I've heard talk about it.
That one is unquestionably 90's, yet my mind disassociates it because the movie is from the 60's and it gets all tangled up.

Another one that straddles the 80s and 90s for me is "King of Wishful Thinking," which I would have guessed was 80s, but was, apparently, released in 1990.
On the other side of the spectrum is "Mambo No. 5" by Lou Bega, which came out right as the 90s were ending.
Another song that wouldn't go the hell away in 1999 was "Livin' la Vida Loca" by Ricky Martin. To be fair, I actually kind of like "Mambo No. 5," though.
Oh, and "Smooth" by Santana (featuring Rob Thomas). Again, frickin' everywhere.
Santana is timeless, though I had honestly thought Smooth came out a bit later than the 90's
Mambo no 5 was a pretty catchy song, though for reasons I cannot properly articulate, I group it with "Scatman" which... you know, great song there.
Ricky Martin is... harmless, I suppose. I will admit I find that one catchy at least, but around the time the Swing fad was dying out, we got a mild obsession with latin pop stars.

And "All the Small Things" by Blink 182. Man, once this gets going it just opens the floodgates for my life at that time...
I can honestly say I'm not a Blink 182 fan.
But yeah, that feeling you're getting is pretty much the experience I've been living for the past year because I just can't with life these days.
