Seems like a rather irrelevant question.
Would Gitaxian Probe be used as often if it didn't cantrip? Probably not. But what does that say about the card, exactly?

I think that we are very short on early drops, so I prefer a Gray Ogre to a cantrip this time, even though usually it would be the other way around. Also, I want to get out of blue if at all possible.

This is in a limited format--which is already creature-based--where a chunk of creatures vomit 0/1 tokens. Creatures abound. It's not a T1 play, otherwise it should be fine.

Bramblesnap is easily the pick here, an early drop is pretty useful for us right now, and it can be a very hard card to deal with when combined with spawns.

Our deck can make 5 spawns across 3 cards. I'm not sure that constitutes "a lot." And it's not like we've been passing spawn-makers, so there's no indication that's a viable strategy.
