i am not sure that gender bender in anime exists for supporting awareness of gender confusion i think it is just something that is popular among fans

I've never seen steins gate so I actually have no idea what he's talking about but I think you might be a little high strung in that response there.

I am pretty sure he is talking about the part where the feminine male character became a female due to a mail sent to the past which altered the present.

I'm going to request that the side conversation about gender identity, sexuality, agendas, and so forth get dropped. It's off topic for this thread.

That said... there is no room on this forum for hate speech. You are, obviously, free to hold whatever opinions you wish; we can't change that. However, we can insist that if your opinions are hateful that you keep them out of your posts. I do understand that tempers can run high but lets try to keep stuff on-topic and within the bounds of the CoC, please. I will be going back through and doing some cleaning up of posts.

I was pretty much like that as well, the starting episodes came off as kinda underwhelming and confusing but it does get better.

I now have this temptation to try ripping up random signboards.

Just as an FYI and follow up to my earlier red post... I've removed the very off-topic, very flamey, hate-speech including side conversation about gender bending. In addition to removing the posts that were full of flames and/or hate, I removed posts that had no content other than replies to the said flames or hate. This means that some posts that did not violate the CoC were removed, purely for continuity purposes of the thread.

So let's be clear about a few things for this thread to be able to continue without more trouble.

- It is OK to talk about anime with gender-bending characters, whether they're trans, genderqueer, or whatever. Saying you specifically like that particular series or character because of the gender / sexuality is OK. Saying you don't like the series / character because of the gender / sexuality is OK.

Bashing somebody because they do or don't like the series / character is not OK. And this is what caused the thread to take a bad turn.

The easy guideline to see where the line is: if your post is about an anime character or series or a single show or a clip somebody posted, etc then you're probably OK; if your post is about another poster - regardless of what that poster said - your post probably is not OK. If you take offense to something somebody has said, please report the post. When you report a post, putting as much info as you can in the free-form text field really does help us. A description of "obv." isn't really helping us, because what might be obvious from your point of view is not obvious from ours. Help us out and give us the info we need to make informed decisions.

- To be unequivocally clear: there is no room for hate speech on this site. I don't care if you hate speech is targeted at somebody's race, gender, age, sexual orientation, sexual presentation, religion, hair color, whatever. It doesn't belong here. We can't make you change your mind and force you to let go of the hate, but we can determine what is acceptable on this site.

Finally, I'd like to remind everybody to include a "[NSFW]" tag (or similar) in any post you make that links to content that would violate our CoC - nudity, sex, strong language, etc. As long as your post contributes to the topic, we're OK with you posting the link - just please tag it so others know what they're getting into by following.
