A day late but at last.

They use the picture of Spring-Leaf Avenger, but tell us nothing about these new bug people.

The stats are 6/5 on that particular card. So it makes me wonder if it's a larger sized race. Kitsune, Nezumi, Akki and Orochi are all shorter than Humans, and Soratami are rather slight in frame. There'd be decent room for a race between Human and the towering O-Bakemono. Granted, Kappa are back as well.

Did they ever explain how they moved away from Shell of the last kappa?

I like how the Uprisers, who are effectively secondary villains by the main story, are literally the same as the Kaladesh renegades, or potentially actually more reasonable.

The Consulate's problem was corrupt individuals. It made the Renegades feel very unreasonable. (Apparently the art book had more information on the history of Kaladesh and the consuls are elected for life, which is also bad.)

On the other hand, I absolutely agree with the Uprisers that I would not be happy with a barely functional theocratic monarchy. That said, this situation is a little different in that the divine right to rule is coming from a knowable and physically present god.

I do feel Uprisers were done a bit dirty since these people genuinely are within Imperial oppression and they're literally nothing more than mooks for the final battle, but its a testament to the writting that this doesn't ruin the overall story.
