This is curious. I got an innocent result which implies either that I have found the culprit is that there are shenanigans afoot. I will wait with making any accusations until we have info regarding the possible shenanigans.

I got a guilty result myself, implying I'm either Sane or Insane. It was on Dark, which implicates either Dark or KoD. Does that agree with your result, or is there trickery?

I, mistakenly, reinvestigated Dark and found that he was still the kind of person that would ***** in people's stockings. Srsly, wth.

Let's get some pitchforks and judge Dark.

I investigated Tevish. He is allegedly saintly and innocent.

KoD gives us a nice data point, proving that not all results were tampered with (or he is lying), that is very useful. Also, radio silence from Dark is frustrating.

Are you implying that there could be mischief in the form of am unexpected application of the doctrine of original sin, meaning Sky was in fact not innocent on the day he was born? Seems unlikely, but then again we are chasing a figure who is a strange interpretation of a Catholic saint, so not impossible.

Alright, so, we can suspect there wasn't a general tamper. A targeted Tamper would have to have been on either Dark or Sky as the object or on myself or Aaarrrgh as the subject, since those were the results that flipped. Thinking of past years, Dark's results could be explained by a mechanic similar to the "lump of coal" (returns Guilty to ALL investigations regardless of Cop sanity) or a viewed-alignment-flip. A tamper on sky could be explained with a results-flip. A tamper on myself or aaarrrgh would presumably flip our results.

So, if I were scum, what would I do? The original "lump of coal" holder used it on themselves, and that was probably a good move because those are the results scum cares most to obfuscate. So that would lean towards "Dark is Scum". A generic results flipper, though, probably wouldn't make themselves the outlier. This suggests that sky wouldn't be both the tamper target and scum. If the tamper is with a subject (investigator rather than investigated), I know at least I'd have gone immediately for Aaarrrgh, since he was logically determined to be town from N0. If Aaarrrgh's result was flipped, Dark has been caught red-handed.

Dark looks really, really bad to me. We've got something of an X-factor in the form of the no-kill, but I think that unless something really insane happens I'll be looking to see Dark swing tomorrow. Part of me wonders, why delay? Why allow that kind of uncertainty? But with passing the shot on D1 I feel even less comfortable taking it D2 rather than D3. D3 we have to shoot as it's our last chance if Scum is following the "Arsonist" kill pattern.

I think that Tevish is correct in terms of the plausible subjects and objects of tampering. Scum lying plus one D2 tamper would allow for anyone other than Aaarrrgh to be scum (Aaarrrgh can only be scum with D1 tampering). For instance:

If KoD were scum, then based on only Day 1's results, he could determine for certain that Aaarrrgh must be Paranoid. Thus, he could tamper with Aaarrrgh's D2 results and deep wolf as Paranoid himself. Tevish would then be insane, I would be naive, and Darkstar sane.

Similar cases result for all of Tevish, Darkstar, and me, though I'm not sure that any of us would have quite so clear a target as KoD. However, it's certainly true that Aaarrrgh, as all but confirmed town, is the most likely player to be tampered with. So that doesn't per se implicate KoD.
