I loved the overal story and I think Arenault Rivera did a great job, particularly with fleshing out Sorin and Arlinn.

However, what she did to poor Edgar is horrible, just horrible. I expected Edgar to turn the tables on Olivia in a 'muhaha you thought this marriage would give you command over both the Voldarens and the Markovs, but it was really my plan to take back control again' kind of way.

Instead, Edgar in this story is probably the biggest WTF moment I've ever had where magic story is concerned. I mean, this mysterious, brilliant progenitor of all vampires on Innistrad is.....just pathetic. He's Olivia's heel for some reason, he's Sorin's wimpering punching bag.
It just so awful how he was treated that it leaves a bad taste in my mouth when i think of the whole story arc, which is a shame as it was a great story overal.

Yes, I agree with the above. Sorin grappling with his past was good. Didnt necessitate turning the most powerful figure on the plane and in his life into a total whiny moron.

Yes, it's not júst that he comes across as somewhat ineffectually weak, but in the final story he comes across as a all brawn, no brains secondaire badguy to Olivia's main intelligent plotting villain.

I mean, how do you rhyme his portrayal in this story with, for instance, the powerful figure shown in the art of Blood tribute

Maybe the implication is supposed to be that this is a lesser form of Edgar, being all charmed and awakened from his torpor what is implied to be improperly, but if that's the case it doesn't come across.

I do find it interesting they make it ambiguous if he was being mind controlled or not (Sorin seems to genuinely think he wasn't), but if that's the case how did he plot with Olivia if he was asleep for hundreds of years?

Seems there is no final side story today. Shame.

Nah, storytime delays don't happen. Besides, the site was active during Thanksgiving; possibly the staff is out on Black Friday.

Strange that there isn't a fifth story; i was anticipating a Geralf story.

I can't believe part 5 of the main story just got so many things wrong. Up to part 4 I thought the story was pretty interesting. Somthing must have happened.

To name just a few things thst don't add up:

-Kathilda just magically returns to her body offscreen?
-Olivia, the big bad of the story, doesn't get a comeuppance but just gets to fly away?
- Why do those wolves and werewolves suddenly come to the rescue, going completely against character? 'Tovolar heard Arlinn's call for help'....sure...
-Why is Edgar's climax with Sorin over in all but 5 seconds and why does Edgar's flavortext make ZERO sense whatsoever in the context of the story?
- Why do Arlinn's wolves SUDDENLY act all nice to her again without any expo about that?

The Last story feels rushed, and makes the entire arc from the last two sets fall flat on it's face. Very disappointing.
