That was the idea behind the name, yes.

I figured. It's just unfortunate that Equator and equine are both really similar. It makes it hard to tell if you're travelling by horse and/or to the equator. I don't see any way to be 100% clear in a single word though.

@ TP: Not sure if youre joking here, but I believe context makes it pretty clear given the emphasis of the plane no longer rotating.

That said, I am now wondering whether the card was meant to be for the plane as whole or just Maraka; if a planet stops rotating, the divide would be a longitudinal meridian, not the latitude equator.

The Equator/Equine thing is something I saw, but decided that it didn't really matter (and in a real set, it would be obvious from the art).

And yes, I was confusing my lines, but in retrospect, the equator does make more sense for the card in the end.
