Welcome to Mafia Kart: Double Dash
Star cup ended in utter disaster. Four karts made it to the finish – two teetering on broken axles, one more driving on rims and tatters of rubber. DK's reinforced barrel was found offstage, sliced clean in half, while Shy Guy's corpse turned up in pieces, soul sapped clean from the coil of his mortal flesh. Toadsworth won't confirm it, but one of the Lakitu camera(men?) allegedly captured footage of Dry Bones plummeting into – and burning up in – the caldera.
Clearly, the hunt is on. Given, however, that the Mushroom Kingdom's budget is split equally between inane games and failing to prevents its monarch's kidnapping, only you, the strangely inarticulate and linguistically underdeveloped denizens of Peach's eternal autocracy can save your competitors friends.

I'm lazy, so most of the rules are Jay's:

There is no discussing the game with anyone outside of Mod provided methods (ie, the Game Thread, Discords, etc).
Do not quote material from out-of-thread discussions (PMs, Discords, etc). Paraphrasing, however, is acceptable.
Do not post in hard to read colors/fonts/codes/intentionally deceptive methods with regards to votes (the last is mostly for my sake on doing quick reviews of the thread for votes and the like).
Do not post to the Game Thread during Night or after Death.
Days will last 96 hours and nights will last 48. If you anticipate being absent for more than 48 hours, please give notice.
During the day Lynches will be decided by majority vote. Barring that, if a player has at least a quarter of the votes, the player with the most votes will be lynched. Ties will be broken by RNGesus. Failure to achieve a 1/4 minority will result in a no-lynch.
Votes for the lynch must be bolded, colored, and set apart from any large blocks of text in order to be counted. You do not need to unvote to cast another vote.
Don’t be a dick. It’s perfectly fine to rub each other the wrong way, this is a competition after all. But that said be weary of the line and do not cross it. If I feel you do I will remove you with or without warning.
Ask all the questions. People never ask the questions. They just make assumptions. Totally ask questions. It’s a rule.

More importantly, Moria Kart: Double Smash consists of two components, murder and racing. Murder
The murder aspect entails the normal functions of any mafia game. In Day phase, town lynches people; at Night, the mafia harvests whomever they will. Your various amazing abilities might accentuate (or ameliorate) these basic outcomes.
Racing
This is the somewhat less standard part. In true Double Dash fashion, almost every player starts with a partner. Stick close, as your destines are linked, though alignments do not not pertain to partnership assignments.
At the start of each Day phase, every living player will receive an item. The strength of the items of received will vary statistically based on that player's position. During Lap 1 of each Day phase (i.e. before the first official vote count), one member of each team may use an if item if one is in their possesion. The second member of each team may use their item only during Lap 2 (i.e. after the first official vote count). The items (publicly) available are as follows:
Banana: Hold to defend, throw, or leave behind. Shell: Hold to defend, fire forward, or fire backward. Fake Item Box: Randomly hits a player on the next lap. Power Star: Immune to attacks until end of lap. Speed up. Hit those you pass. Mushroom: Go fast. Evade some attacks. Lightning: All enemies are slowed. Chance to crush players you pass. Spiny Shell: Chance to hit each player ahead of you. Guaranteed to hit (and ruin the day of) the team in first.
Hitting a kart with an item will slow that kart down and allow others to pass them. Many abilities in this game are based on players' racing position, so choose your targets carefully – and try not to screw up.

Wario Colosseum: Lap 1
(The following description is flavor/pre-race, and therefore does not trigger players' abilities.)
And they’re off! In true WAA fashion, the Waluigi Wing backfires, spinning its wheels. The Parade Train barrels ahead, rocket starting through the opposition – an angry, armored, invincible god of war. It smashes the Turbo Pipes aside, flattening poor Waluigi—
BOOM
Was that an illegal bomb? It was! The Parade Train tumbles through the air, Waluigi’s hat and pants catch fire, and the poor, poor Green Kart emulates a very bad ski jumper. The Stroller, having only seen fit to join the race, begins to roll.
The race is on.
