CGB built a version of this deck and I made some tweaks to accelerate the combo. Especially Hunt for Specimens has been really slow and I've never been happy to play it. It's inefficient by itself and makes up for it by fetching an inefficient lesson. I rarely won a game when this was my only turn 2 play. Another card I cut was Valentin, Dean of the Vein. It has never been more than sac fodder with a lot of text and Lisette, Dean of the Root is once again too slow and clunky. It doesn't even synergize that well with the deck, because sacrificing is usually better than swinging anyway.

The most notable addition is Gilded Goose. It doesn't look impressive, but one more mana is a big deal, if all your combo enablers are CMC 2-3. With a turn 1 goose, you can play the important pieces much more reliable on turns 2-4 and dodge getting stomped by Bonecrusher Giant with a Bastion of Remembrance on turn 2. Later on, it's just as good as any other 1-drop as sacrifice fodder.

Dina, Soul Steeper and Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose are additional combo pieces and I've chosen the mix to avoid duplicates and have an additional wincon in Vito's activated ability.

The most controversial addition might be Tend the Pests. Remember the Lovestruck Beast that made a cheap token, triggered magecraft and is now sitting in exile until the end of the game, because it provides too little for your combo? Well, now it's quite useful and probably your only hope to recover from a board wipe. Jegantha, the Wellspring serves a similar purpose.

The mana base could probably be improved with Necroblossom Snarl. I didn't have a chance to test it, but be wary of too many tapped lands. Speed is very important here.

Nice to see you posting Geg. I think I might like to try this or at least something very similar. I don't like to "netdeck" but will once in a great while if it looks fun enough. I do loves me some Golgari and could use another standard deck to mess around with. I mainly play historic and limited.

Noice deck dude. I threw it together with some slight alterations due to wildcards and all but it's a lot of fun blowing up your opponent in one or two turns

Good to see that there are still some familiar faces around. I enjoy limited a little more myself, but standard can be pretty fun until the meta settles down to 3 decks.

I can't take credit for the idea, as I basically netdecked the archetype and made a few adjustments. I'm still glad you're having fun with it. There's something satisfying about winning with 30 triggers on the stack.

The original version had Jegantha, the Wellspring as a companion. First I took it out, because I never played it, but now that I added Tend the Pests to the deck, it makes a lot more sense, so I put it back in. With only 4 learn cards left, it's not necessary to have a full playset of Pest Summoning in the sideboard anyway.

Holy crap this is fun. Took it out in the standard meta game challenge a couple of times. Didn't do so great but considering I virgined it out to begin with I've gotten plenty of wins so far. Just need to learn the best hold on opening hands now and such. I've gotten up to the third bo3 match a couple of times so far in the challenge. Not even my comfort zone. I'm a bo1 person normally but this deck is giving me an excuse to try otherwise.

It's obviously not a top tier deck, but I enjoy the playstyle. Look for hands with a good curve and mind your options. I've lost so many games, because I forgot that Dina could sac stuff for lethal. And I've lost an equal amout of games running out of time during the combo, because I tried to do the math... there's certainly a learning curve

Witherbloom was the one college I never got on with. In part it was the lowest number of cards opened. It is a thing though as it won the recent college challenge.

I will maybe get around to trying this but hopefully enough of the cards to get close.

This deck and a really sweet Angel deck is all I've crafted this season. I had just started to get into Duels about 2 weeks before they stopped supporting it so that's a no go for me. I was about ready to throw like $300 into it also to get my collection caught up when I got back involved with all you weirdos.

It is a fun deck and it's very effective Squider. I think it's worth a few wilds. I think I used 10 or so myself to build it but then again I only build one of two decks a season anymore so I'm ripe with wildcards.

Not much exited me except building an actually viable Angel decks. I've always had a softspot for that tribe. I should post it.

Everything is unlocked in Duels now. They shut down the store and unlocked everything a while back.

I can go back to the duels forum and post all of my decks if you want to jump in and play ever.

Duels has always been the stepchild. I'm actually surprised how well things are going for Arena. With 4 daily wins you should be able to collect the current set within one season (x4). That's not too bad compared to other card games, not to mention the cost of paper magic.
