Aaarrgh's statement that he didn't target me only confirms his alignment if you ASSUME that the reason I can't be lynched can only be attributed to the last remaining living mafiate. As has already been pointed out, my immortality could be attributed to Zinger or JD.

Heck, it could have even been Aaarrrgh if we removed the word target. Maybe the ability which made me lynchproof specifically doesn't "target" people.

@Monster: Aaarrrgh claimed that he didn't target anyone. So unless mafia's kill is random (and even then, it likely still targets), he cannot be scum unless he can lie about that fact.

Nuances of his NLP.

You get dangerously close to territory that is left up to the individual to justify. Like, for example, if you tell the mod to use the factional kill on JD. Does that constitute targeting? Or does targeting only apply if it came from an "ability" he has?

Tough road.

We can certainly hash all this out at a later time. After all, Monster is still here.

Aaarrrgh plays magic the gathering, and in Magic, unless a spell says the word "target" on the card, it doesn't count as a targeted spell, as far as I know.

"Choose a player" is not a targeted spell, for example.

Not saying that's the same case as here, but since we're debating Aaarrrgh's words and his NLP, the fact that he is familiar with MTG matters.

It's absurd to change the game balance this far in. We are basically 2/3rds through. Players have already made claims or chosen behaviors based on the presumed state of the but game. Sure, it's unfortunate if games are weighted one way or the other (though I'm honestly skeptical here), but it happens, but it's worse to have the mod meddling with things.

Scum also still has a good chance to win unless scum is Monster specifically.
