MTGA is now on IOS Mobile! That came as a surprise as I was expecting it to be when the next set launched. I have not tried on my iPhone as yet but it works great on my IPad Pro. The layout seems pretty much identical to the MAC / PC layout and of course the logon and deck collection and gold and all cosmetic purchases are of course identical.

Arena Mobile burns 6-10% of my battery per game on a Samsung S9+.

Even with a solid wifi connection I find it hard to pair with players. Sparky is about the only thing that works consistently and I dont like fighting AI decks.

I have no issues playing it on a Samsung S9

On iOS phone and iPad Pro the battery life seems fine. On iPad I could play matches pretty much most of the day and also surfing, watching you tube etc in between matches. I know Magic Duels used to drain battery pretty quickly and made phone hot but seems less of an issue on iPad and game matchups either via friend list or via random play or modes like Brawl or the event modes have had no issues. Game matches v friends seem stable and even the one match we had on BO3 that froze on mine when waiting for the decider, the game was still in progress when I reconnected so we could conclude.

The tablet implementation seems pretty good, in particular on the iPad Pro with viewing cards and selections pretty well implemented. Overall at least for iOS the game seems to play very well and layout and features identical to on PC or MAC.

My buddy just had me play my first two games of Magic Arena on iOS on his phone, hoping it would give me the urge to start playing. Never been so bored. I think I'm totally over Magic at this point maybe. Really hate the interface. Miss the old days of the Duels games on Xbox.

Also, planeswalkers just seem insanely pervasive. They totally take over games when they get played (i know I only played two games but still)

Anyway, one less game to worry about, whew. I'll stick to Empires & Puzzles

This should be interesting moving forward.
