Pffff, Brusher's Pike is the best. Almost-ranged reach, pretty fast, armor-piercing, huge damage, plus you can throw it if you need to. Combine with... whatever, I guess. I like Calamity Cannon or Galleon Mortar, the massive ranged power works well with the pike.

I tend to roll a lot and try to create space between me and the enemies, that probably heavily informs my weapon preferences.

The fangame I spent most time in (over 200 hours) is an Etrian Odyssey style RPG.
One of the more annoying bosses (if you find her for the first time) should come to no surprise to those that know about Touhou.



The uploader has a bit of a crappy comp, so it slows down with the more flashy attacks, but alas.

I found a better song without any of the distracting noises. 2 minutes and 8 seconds in is where I fail this song on this difficulty.

How about a full-on game with 15 normal stages, an extra stage, a phantasm stage and spell practice, new music, new sprites, everything.
It was the first fangame I played and I liked the premise most.

Finally found a copy of Mercenaries playground of destruction in my town and I plan to pick it up today ^__^

I was going to bring up Minecraft. My kids have been playing the free demo and despite the fact I thought they would find it to be a "dot matrix printer" of games after playing R&C, LBP and GT4 they are really enjoying it.

Saw this the other day.

The awesome bit starts around 15:16.

The guy playing Ice Climbers is Fly Amanita, the guy who taught me the basics of competitive SSBM: how to wavedash, the joys of SHFFL'd knees, and the fun of d-air tech-chases (yay, Falcon).

If you don't know much about the game, he's playing Ice Climbers, which is a mid-tier character that largely relies on having both of them around to do grab combos. His opponent plays Fox, currently #1 on the tier list, and gets him to a two-stock deficit in the final game of the match. Then he kills one of the Climbers. Somehow Fly manages to come back and win with just Popo.

Also, the commentators mention 'wobbling' a few times. It's an inescapable, easy-to-do grab combo that often gets banned in tournaments because it's pretty abusive.
