Given Ex Lights information, I am less inclined to make everyone promise something, especially since it seems unlikely alignment can't be lied about. Not sure this is greater benefit than risk (since I doubt it has much benefit).

That said, I also think it would be hard to make someone who is town break that particular promise without changing their alignment (don't think that power exists). So perhaps it's safe after all.

I'd assume the promises are literal. At least that's how I would expect the mod to take them.

Participating in your lynch certainly seems like it would count as my vote would help, literally, contribute to your kill.

Participating in a hypothetical discussion about whether or not to kill you (and advocating as such) seems more of a stretch as, ultimately, I wouldn't be the one pulling the trigger.
