I don't plan to reveal the details of my role without reason and i don't imagine its worth using a creature on me to test a random theory.

Well, Rag doesn't have to reveal anything. That can be gleaned from setup and some assumptions.

Every player has a passive. That much we know for sure. This would present a way to allow Rag to do something as opposed to playing basic islands (this, as opposed to lands with abilities -- active or otherwise). Also, it'd do us well to remember that Zinger was impressed that Rag's deck scored a win (granted the person conceded). This makes me think that plays into the passive.

Get creative. Why not have a passive ability that stems from playing lands? Maybe reduce a player's threshold/make them more susceptible to votes or quitting the game? Sky's the limit. Especially for someone who design Enter the Dungeon on the fly, when challenged to, for his mafia game.

Anyway, it isn't important that Rag reveal anything; however, it'd be foolish to think Rag is useless. So don't get tripped up.

Rag claimed being able to vote so there's really only two ways of looking at this. Rag has a deck of nothing but island monsters, or rag has unlimited possibilities as Zinger applied whatever aspects he wanted to to each island (this is more likely to be the case IMO since lands aren't a listed card type per the OP). Whichever is the case will become apparent as soon as Rag plays a second permanent as Zinger has confirmed all players will be informed of permanents attributes once they are in play.

Likely rags deck is some hyper deadly deck designed to break the will of her opponents and capable of achieving T0 wins.

So, I'm not sure if we even want to vote D1, but if we do it would be good to get a tally of who actually has the possibility to vote at all.

I have a onedrop creature, so voting is an option for me.

It'll be interesting to see things develop going forward despite only having seven players. Mechanically it may be hard to see someone eliminated, unless some people really want someone removed. How that'll compared with whatever the mafia does will determine how fast or slow paced the game will be.

Yeah, this is weird. My role has incentive to attack as much as I can, but I don't want to be solely responsible for a basically random lynch. Not sure how to balance that.

you can also force a no-lynch if you vote after JD votes although idk if thats preferable

tomorrow is lylo if we mislynch today and the mafia has a NK as normal

tomorrow is not lylo if we no-lynch today

its feasible that the mafia can't NK as normal or that there are other tools to push back LyLo included in the game as there are only 7 players but still 2 mafia.

I mean, that's unless somebody else casts creatures (I can't) or meddles with the available creatures (I actually could). I'm not sure I mistrust you two enough to blindly throw a kill, though I have some incentive to use my cards it's kind of limited.

There are a couple things I'm pondering that I normally wouldn't. First, I wonder if it might be beneficial to do a partial mass-claim; just everyone sound off some of what their gimmick is.

I'll go first: I have a commander: Alela returns to my hand if and when she ever dies. All my other cards are enchantments and Alela makes me a faerie token when I cast one.

The second is that I'm pondering what the Maf mechanics look like. With a 5-2 start as per zinger, we will be 3-2 LyLo tomorrow if we mislynch and things are standard. a NL today would still put us in MyLo, 4-2, if scum can hit as normal. On the assumption that we MIGHT face a normal hit, we should consider our moves very carefully from here as our options are

1) Lynch today. In the event of a mislynch, we are in LyLo
2) Skip today, lynch tomorrow in MyLo. Seems less than ideal.
3) Skip today AND tomorrow, putting us in d3 LyLo. Misses an opportunity to no-scope scum but get an extra phase out of the deal for everyone to play stuff/perform actions.

I'll be honest, I hate the idea of No Lynching on principle. I've complained about it just about every game where we've done it or seriously contemplated it but the dynamic of this game requires that the idea be floated and given real consideration. The idea of a D1 mislynch possibly putting us right into LyLo is also pretty bad.

NINJA: Basically what Rag said.

I also have a commander who returns to my hand when she dies. And as an aggro deck, pretty much all of my mechanics are based around voting and creature interactions. Which means I am pretty much useless if we go for the no lynch plan. Unless of course we agree to create a tie.
