It's time to Brawl!

I realized I have lost all concept of how to build 60 card decks.

Fun times. I was able to make this entire thing without swapping out any cards.

Played three matches. I only won one, but all three were quite fun to play. So you got that going for you!

I only have one copy of Thieves' Guild Enforcer, but I have the rest of your deck.

I first tested it with -3 TGE, replaced with +2 Soaring Thought-Thiefs and +1 Glasspool Mimic (who could, in theory, become TGE), but after 1 match I replaced the Glasspool Mimic with +1 Merfolk Windrobber because having only a Mimic in hand and no creatures to copy in play really sucked.

Not counting the initial Glasspool run, I played 3 matches and won zero. Was super close to winning 2 of 3 times though (opponent had less than 2 life when lost both times). I accept that the deck probably would have done better with all four copies of TGE, but whatcha gonna do?

lmk if this isn't legal and i might edit it eventually anyways if thats ok

This deck won 1 match (of 3).

Opponent conceded because he/she didn't like their opening hand, but I am counting it.

60 Islands > Dimir Rogues.

Now, should I play my mill deck, or my white aggro/lifegain?

But I really like both decks! Granted, the milk deck occasionally makes people rage quit (which I think is unwarranted).

That was obviously supposed to say "mill". Also, not all dairy cows are mistreated. I grew up on a dairy farm in Sweden, and the wellbeing of the animals was always the top priority. But that is neither here nor there.

Well, all submitted decks so far are blue so... A white deck would be vastly different.

But we don't have a mill deck (JD's deck has a bit of mill but is not mill focused), so that too would be interesting.

Pick whatever you want.

The entire deck is built around milling the opponent...no wonder you didn't win any matches... :-P

I meant its win condition isn't "mill your opponent to death", as you would expect a mill deck to have.

I mean, there's a theme around milling the opponent for sure, but it's only for like, to get the rogues "8 cards in opponents graveyard" or the loch's "counter target spell with cmc less than the number of cards in opponent's graveyard" online (or just straight up to put stuff for Zareth to steal in there).

The real win condition is obviously beat face with rogues that are made stronger once your opponents have been milled.

Thieves' Guild-Enforcer is the backbone of your deck, and I only had 1 copy so. That's probably the real reason I lost all three matches. That, or player skill. lol

That's the real rub with this deck, it's built to be a double threat. Getting milled is a very real possibility, especially once multiple enforcers and tutelage are down. Beefing your rogues can be used as a beat stick, but it also creates a solid line of defense if you can't get through to your opponent while you mill them out.

Yeah, that's fair.

With only one copy of Enforcer, I never even saw her in any of the three games I played. And as we've established, she's the backbone of the deck.

But don't worry. Winrate I had with your deck over three games will have little to no impact on your role. It's more about how the deck played than anything.

Eh, fine, I'll play my Linden, the Steadfast Queen deck. Drop a bunch of creatures, and if you can't win through aggro the lifegain keeps you going until you can win through either Light of Promise, Hallowed Priest, or Angel of Destiny.

Commander

Deck
1 Beloved Princess (ELD) 7
24 Plains (M20) 261

1 Alseid of Life's Bounty (THB) 1
1 Anointed Chorister (M21) 4
1 Outflank (ELD) 23
1 Leonin Warleader (M19) 23
1 Faith's Fetters (M21) 17
1 Light of Promise (M21) 25
1 Speaker of the Heavens (M21) 38
1 Mace of the Valiant (ELD) 314
1 Syr Alin, the Lion's Claw (ELD) 32
1 Daxos, Blessed by the Sun (THB) 9
1 Impassioned Orator (RNA) 12
1 Silverflame Squire (ELD) 31
1 Trapped in the Tower (ELD) 33

I was able to craft your entire deck for testing, no swaps required.

It went 2 for 3.

The one match it lost I had the other player down to 2 life when they managed to stabalize. The bastard!

Such is the aggro life. At least the deck works in brawl. Linden would never win anything in Commander.
